It's airtight and looks like it'll keep cookies fresh for a long time - Just don't expect to be able to fit the entire package in. It's not as big as it appears. I probably would've chosen a different option if I had given it more thought about the size - I stuffed about half a bag of Oreos into the container and barely managed to close it. br>However, it's a lovely container. I'd say it's a better size for candy.
So far, I'm really enjoying it. Purchased for the purpose of storing dog biscuits on the counter. We won't have to worry about anyone breaking the glass, and we'll be able to see that there are biscuits inside without having to use something ceramic with writing on it. It has been hand-washed twice and still looks like glass. We haven't had any scratches or anything like that.
I'm not a big fan of plastic, but glass jars in any size are so expensive that I decided to take a chance. It's a lovely piece that sits alongside my other similar-style glass jars and appears to be one of them, large enough to hold significant amounts of food. If you just want the lid to hang loosely in the jar, you can remove the silicon seal.
This turned out to be much smaller than I had anticipated. I decided to keep it after seeing the cleaning instructions and thought it was cute. The only information about the box was on the outside (picture attached). br>Even with the verbiage on the box, I don't feel comfortable putting food in it, so I'll use it to store non-food items. articles of food.
This jar was used to store homemade epsom salt and is beautifully crafted and appears to be made of glass. scrub with ody oil I didn't want glass in the bathroom, especially since I planned to place the container on the tub's side. It worked perfectly for my needs, and it looks like glass until you pick it up and realize it's made of acrylic. There is a fine seam running through the middle of the lid, but it takes being within a few feet to notice it.
This is a lovely acrylic jar that appears to be made of glass. The rubber seal around the lid, on the other hand, was too thick. I was unable to close the jar. It was impossible to open when I finally did. Because I knew this wouldn't work for the person I was giving it to, I removed the seal and replaced it with a rubber band. After modifying the lid, I filled the jar with candy and gave it as a gift.
That was exactly what I was looking for. It does not appear to be low-cost. I didn't need the lid to be as tight as it was. The rubber seal on the door was removed. Another option is to secure it with a rubber band. I would strongly suggest it.
This is a lovely, heavy (for acyrlic) jar that is well balanced and attractive. It has a tight seal that keeps the contents fresh. I bought two more because I liked it so much. However, I don't believe it was designed to be put in the dishwasher because that would cause it to become cloudy over time; however, I believe it is worth handwashing.
