I am sorry, but I am not sure. My breadbox is measuring the same as my tape measure It is 6 inches long). I then opened the top door just a bit until it was lined up up and down with the front of the breadbox. I measured from the top of the door to the counter and it measured 14 1/8 inches. I estimate there would be about 1-1/2

Making my own homemade bread and storing it in a breadbox is one of my favorite things. This tastes better and saves me from using plastic, which is always a plus! It's a really neat looking box, and I really like the wooden look of it. I often find that there is not enough space to store all the bread we have to store. I was surprised that this "extra-large" box can't hold both the bread and the box I use for my single dish bread delivery. Since I haven't pulled it apart and tried to fix it, I have no idea whether the problem will be fixed - It's most likely going back in the mail since it doesn't fit my needs. Nevertheless, I am no novice when it comes to furniture assembly and woodworking, and I had difficulty getting that middle shelf in due to instructions that told me to mount both sides first. My last complaint is purely related to The bread box I bought the other day was on sale for $39, so I swear I bought it on prime day. I believe I was charged $49. I can't prove it, and I might be mistaken, but I believe I No matter what, I think I will give up on prime day from now on, since I often end up paying for things I haven't properly vetted. I understand what makes the reviews so good, this bread box is a beautiful, solid piece of furniture that I'm sure you will enjoy if it fits your needs and assembles correctly. My taste was not the same as hers.
My kitchen upgrade is amazing and I could not be happier with this purchase. It took me some time to get used to seeing the box & It was time to return the item once I realized I had to assemble it myself. Multiple uses make this product worth the money! It is extremely helpful for me to keep my counter organized since I don't like having things out on it. This kit comes with simple instructions that make it easy to assemble. I liked the way the package was packaged. When I had a small issue with one of my boxes, customer service handled it very quickly, easily, and courteously. There are no other products I would recommend as highly as this bread box and company. My reason for not reviewing an Amazon product is that I buy so many items from them that I do not have time to do it. Yes, I know, I am being very unkind, but I was impressed overall this time, so I had to leave a review.
We'll say more It was evident that my bread had gone bad after being in the box for a few days. My annoyance level is pretty high. It stayed well in the bag in the cupboard, but all the buns and the loaf have gone The instructions told me exactly how to assemble it so I don't know if I did it wrong. A lot of holes and gaps can keep bread from staying fresh as it is said to have them. It's kind of disappointing.
I was disappointed to find rat poo inside the screw bag, however, I'm very happy with the product. This is not a joke. Things happen to me all the time, I hate this. Sadly, I would have made the perfect purchase if that sale had not happened. The product is A+, but the poop is.
It is great that there is an included screwdriver for assembly, but the process of actually assembling this item was awfully hard and My issue with these pieces appeared to have been milled incorrectly, but after what seems like a lifetime I was finally able to put in the back panel. The screw that held the side together popped apart when we tightened it. (See photo)

It was nice looking and a good size, but I don't think it was well built. It has been a while since I tried getting a refund, but it would require shipping back the assembled piece. I will try to repair it with wood glue.
During a football game, my husband put it together in about five or ten minutes. To add to his collection, he was thrilled to receive the magnet tip screwdriver enclosed.
