These bags have a 4 inch gusset and measure 8 x 4 x 18 inches. It also has a 1 mil thickness.

Are these bags suitable for freezing bread?

Yes. I make two loaves of sandwich bread at a time, freezing one and keeping the other in a separate bag on the counter. TIP. When thawing the bread, make sure to remove it from the bag and place it on a cooling rack, or at the very least leave the bag open to allow the moisture to escape before resealing it.

Bags for bread that has been baked at home

So far, these bags have done an excellent job. They accommodate a wide range of loaf sizes, which was one of my main concerns. locating a bag that was both long-lasting and large enough to hold larger loaves I've only had them for a short time, so I'm not sure how many times they can be used, but so far I'm very happy with them. I will definitely place another order.

Even better than the store-bought version bought

These totes are far more than adequate. My Cuisinart bread machine produces a 5"x5" square loaf that can stretch up to 8" in length. I'd had it with cling wrap and decided to try something new. When a new slice was desired, it was a pain to unwrap. It was also necessary to take extra precautions to ensure that the wrapping was completed completely. These expand to fit the loaf and are at least as good as the store-bought variety. bread that was purchased It's big enough to use again. I just twist and anchor the twist under the loaf on a daily basis, so ties aren't necessary, but they're handy to have if you're wrapping the bread to give to others. br>br>I haven't tried them on a round loaf yet, but they appear to fit fine in an 8" round with a height of 4" or less.

Excellent, low-cost, and practical product that is as secure and long-lasting as fresh bread storage requires

They hold a fairly heavy oat bran loaf, soudough loaf, muffins, and other baked goods, and the freshness is surprisingly good, despite the fact that I double-bagged them. As a result, keep this in mind. Place fresh (but cooled) bread in these bags, seal with the included shiny gold twisty-ties, and give as a gift. Using decorative tissue, place in a canvas tote or cute gift bag. People, in my experience, adore sourdough loaves like this one. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Good luck with your baking:.

Bread Bags made from scratch

I was overjoyed to discover the bags because I bake bread frequently and almost exclusively for gifts. I needed the bags because I was running out of gallon Ziploc bags. They weren't the right shape, and they had loc bags. Your bags are too long for the loaf of bread, but that isn't a problem because of the ties.

When I make bread, I usually make two loaves at once, one for myself and the other for my daughter. However, packaging has proven to be a challenge. Regular gallon storage bags are ineffective. I need to cut the loaf into two rows and place the slices. That's fine if it's all I've got, but these bread bags are incredibly useful. The bread can still be sliced, but it appears to be a loaf of bread when placed in the bag. It's also ideal for keeping it safe until it's no longer needed. The gold ties add a nice touch to the ensemble. When I'm in need of more, I'll buy again.
