The material on this is thicker, stronger, bigger and easier to work with than I imagined! It was packaged beautifully and came in perfect condition! Currently it hides dish brushes and scrubbers, but I think it will be perfect for displaying vintage wooden spoons and smaller rolling pins as well. As another reviewer has said, the jar has a pearlescent quality and the color is similar to that of robin's egg blue. It looks so cute in my 1950s, red kitchen that has a diner vibe to it, adding a touch of nostalgia and a bit of retro appeal. Finding matching pieces is already in my to-do list, I can't get enough of this look!.
There is the potential for it to chip if you aren't careful with how you place the metal utensils because it is prone to chipping. Using super glue, I was able to fix the chip as you can see in the second photo. I like the fact that it looks cute besides that.
