We do not sell yogurt makers with this product. You are looking at a yogurt strainer here. In this way, the yogurt gets thicker since the liquid has been strained out. In order to strain the liquid out, I make soy yogurt in a yogurt maker and then pour it into the Euro Cuisine GY60. Hence, Greek-speaking people are the winners If it works for Greek yogurt, it should work for any yogurt. I think it would work with almond, coconut, or any other milk-based yogurt.
It's been 9 months since I first started using it every This is a quality product. It cannot be put in the dishwasher, but I highly recommend that you wash it immediately after you remove the strainer from the Greek yogurt. You'll see how easy it is. It will be difficult to clean well if it is left until later.
As per my booklet, washing should be done with caution. To be safe, I hand wash the mesh strainer piece with soap and the nozzle holder on my sink after washing the bowl and lid in the dishwasher. Simply to ensure it lasts as long as possible. I would probably put it in the top rack of the dishwasher, but it would be fine to simply wash it out with soapy water afterward.
Nevertheless, it did not come up clean, I use a large industrial coffee filter in mine, which saves me a lot of time and headache as the mesh is so fine, you don't want to press hard on it until it comes clean. There is a chance that it could be damaged.

In addition to being highly rated, it also claimed that you could drain yogurt whey from cheesecloth in less time and with a thicker consistency and save space in the refrigerator with easy cleanup afterwards. Although I can see how these things may be true for those who haven't made thick yogurt with cheesecloth, I cannot reconcile the video advertising this product with the thick, almost gelatinous product described in the commercial It's not uncommon for you to be able to slice yogurt mold. I have never tried this. As the yogurt becomes thickest on the bottom, it blocks drainage for the rest, leaving an uneven drain until it is mixed every few hours. I had to do this for more than two days to get the consistency I wanted, making the process taking longer. When using cheesecloth, I place it in a colander that is placed in a larger mixing bowl. This way, the yogurt drains overnight. When I get up the next morning, the yogurt is very thick-it sat in the fridge untouched for a few hours. As it turns out, I am standing on the spoon. However, that is not the case for this Greek yogurt maker. Generally speaking, the consistency is smooth, but it is not especially In no way was that enough to flip it over in tact as suggested in the video.
The strainer I have is amazing. In spite of that, it is difficult to clean and I don't want to scrub too hard as I want the filter to last. So I use these paper Amazon is the best place to buy. They were not available in a smaller bundle, however. If you want to spread the cost, you could always find someone to share it with.
Since purchasing a few weeks ago, I've used it about twice a week, and it works just as well as cheesecloth or coffee filters. I definitely recommend this product, and I definitely recommend the scrubber as well!.
Worked well for me. My choice of stainless strainer was a result of other reviewers' recommendations, and I'm glad I chose it. When I was a kid, I used to strain my yogurt with muslin over a strainer, but it was hard to get the yogurt off the cloth and almost impossible to clean. The solution to that is It is easy to remove the yogurt from the strainer and clean up all the pieces. It is great that the lid is plastic- In addition to preventing spills, it keeps yogurt odors in as well as refrigerator odors out. As far as the strainer is concerned (it is a combo of plastic and stainless steel) and the container is concerned, it could have received a five-star rating if it was made entirely out of stainless steel.
My goal is to have enough yogurt to last for one gallon of milk at a time, so I bought two of them. While there was some confusion between the description and the insert that came with it (the description said all parts were dishwasher safe, but the insert said we were not to wash them), I find it much easier to clean than the old version of this and the stainless mesh can withstand gentle washing. In the future, I will never buy commercial greek yogurt again and I won't spend the $100+ for it.
In the past, I purchased the Euro strainer with nylon mesh, but found it lacking in strength. I can still use that strainer as long as it doesn't break, but it feels so thin that I'm always afraid it'll tear apart. While cleaning, this strainer seems much more durable, and I have less of a concern. Whether using one or the other strainer, both are effective for straining.
Ready to do it all over The whey had a little bit of yogurt in it that appears to seep through the middle "stem" of the filter, but only a little bit. Whey can be consumed as a smoothie, and some can also be fed to dogs (or cats). They too have much to be thankful for. I have a tip for others who produce large volumes of yogurt Although I would like to have a second unit like this and will likely purchase one, they are pricey, so the rest of the yogurt goes into my stainless steel soup pot with its steamer insert. I use an over-the-range microwave to heat the yogurt. The insert of the steamer works well with cotton handkerchiefs, which are 16x16 inches long and weight around 50 grams. In the event of a replacement, I will be happy to assist In order to free up my overloaded refrigerator, I devised a "rigged" system including a second Euro Cuisine maker, because the two units would stack on top of one another and are As of now, those two systems are functioning. I just wanted to mention the difference between the metal mesh filter unit and the thin fabric mesh of the entryway filter unit. This unit is at the level of the whole. The reusable metal coffee filters like these have been around for years, and I found them to be durable and reliable, though they work best when Having no experience with the more economical plastic mesh types similar to this one, it's difficult for me to imagine that it would last for the amount of heavy use that I put it through. There is no need to worry about cleaning the metal unit since it is easy to keep clean. Using the tips provided by myself, and other users here, can help you put your mind at ease.
