Questions & Answers

Do you know if this could be used for several hours at a time? I've burned out several machines over the course of a weekend making 50 dozen. ?

Personally, I intend to use this machine for "household" purposes. I have, however, made several batches in a row (each batch yielding at least 40 pizzelles). After every three batches, I recommend giving the machine a rest. It ought to be all right.

Is there any Teflon on the grill?

Yes, cleaning this is a breeze. After the grill has cooled, wipe down the surfaces with a damp cloth or paper towel. I owe two of these grills to my friends and family because I adore them! It produces delicious, crisp pizzelles. I make it according to the grill's instructions. Enjoy!

What is the thickness of the pizzelles produced by this method? I recently purchased a used Vitoantonio with teflon for $120. Are you dissatisfied?

This is something I bought for my best friend, and she absolutely adores it. The thinness of the pizzelles is astounding. As far as I can tell, the thickness is perfect.

Is there a'ready' indicator light that indicates when the pizzelle are done and can be removed?

No - There's a ray of sunshine - It does, however, indicate when the iron is hot enough to begin cooking the pizzelle - You should keep an eye out for the cookie's light brown color. The Pizzelle Press, on the other hand, is one of the best I've come across. I've been making these cookies for 40 years and have only used three pizzelle irons during that time.

I'm glad I bought it! I've never attempted to make pizzelle cookies before
4/5

It took a few tries for me to get the settings just right for us, but I've now gotten into the swing of things. I tried the basic recipe in the manual but was underwhelmed. I've tried a different one that I discovered elsewhere and it's much better. I gave it a four-star rating instead of a five because keeping my eyes on the indicator light (which goes from green to red and then back to green) becomes tedious after a while. The cookies are simple to make, but I'm stuck staring at the machine for the duration of the process-- For someone who prefers to multitask, this can be difficult.

The food was delicious in every way
5/5

I even made a few extra Pizzelli and placed them on the table. On the first day, I experimented with a store-bought mix, an online recipe, and a friend's recipe. The food was delicious in every way. I also made small cannoli shells out of extra Pizzelli by wrapping them around wooden spoon handles. I followed the directions on the Ricotta jar's back. That day, fresh Canolli was available everywhere I went. People who previously would not have spoken to me are now doing so. br>br>Add your own flavors if you want! Amaretto, Limocella, Anise, and Vanilla were among the spirits I sampled. I even made some that were orange-flavored and frosted with orange frosting.

Not to be used outside of the United States or in countries other than the United States
4/5

Customers had inquired as to whether or not this device was dual voltage/universal voltage, and the answer I read was yes. As a result, I purchased it based on that information. It isn't. br> If you want to use it in another country, you'll need a transformer because it's 120 V. That's a bummer, because I bought this specifically to avoid having to do so.
Edit: I just checked the product site and information, and it clearly states that it is 120 V, so either what I read was deleted or I ordered the wrong item, but that's my fault, not theirs, so I've changed my review.

Overall, I'm pleased with the machine; it cooks evenly and efficiently
4/5

The cookies slid right off the plates, and once I was done, there wasn't much left to clean up. It only took a few seconds with a damp paper towel to clean it. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that I went through an entire batch of dough and could never get the exact spoon size needed to make a full cookie. In addition, many of the cookies were not evenly distributed. Because the cookies were coming out too small with the spoon that came with the machine, I stopped using it. I tried using a cookie scoop I already had and it seemed to help, but there were still a lot of off-target results. The cookies in the center are too small. When making them for family, this isn't a big deal, but I'd like to make and give pizzelles as holiday gifts, so I'll have to figure out the magic combination to get them the right size and centered correctly. br>Overall, I would buy this machine again, and I would recommend it to others.

Pizzelle Iron is a fantastic piece
5/5

This pizzelle maker has been in my possession for a long time. It appeals to me greatly. It makes it smaller than average, which I like. They're thin and crispy when they're done. I make pizzelles about six times a year, so the iron is in excellent condition.

I was let down
3/5

It's a good product, but I gave it a low score because the pizzelles are so small. What exactly is the point of THAT? Maybe it didn't read the description carefully enough? But who actually reads a pizzelle maker's job description? I returned it, and one of the best things about buying directly from Amazon is the ease with which you can return it.

It's perfectly acceptable to disregard recommended cooking instructions
3/5

The plates are smaller than I anticipated, which is fine, but the heating button does not function as intended. It suggests that a pizzelle should be cooked in the middle, but this causes the pizzelles to burn. I have to time them and can't leave them in for more than 30 seconds (as per the included recipe), so I can't use the light because it doesn't light up properly, and I don't want to burn the pizzelles. If you use a second timer and disregard the instructions to use the recommended settings, it works fine.

Pizzelle Maker, you've done a fantastic job! It's a little more difficult to use, but with a little practice, you'll be fine! Nice item, happy with purchase! This is a nice machine and a good product that I bought for Christmas and let my niece and daughter use to make delicious cookies
4/5

It's a little trickier than you might think to get the perfect amount of batter in and remove the finished pizelle without it sticking. I do, however, enjoy all types of novelty items, and this one was particularly entertaining. After a little practice, it makes excellent pizelle and can be used to make delicious cannolies. It is simple to use.
