Questions & Answers

I bake coarser rye breads; how does it perform with coarse grinds, such as rye meal or rye chops?

The Mockmill is absolutely incredible! It's simple to crack your grain or mill it to a very fine flour consistency. Simply move the stones around until they're in the desired position. I've had mine for over a year and use it every couple of days to produce 3 or 4 loaves per week. I really wish I had gotten the 200 because I'd like to start baking more bread for my friends and family. Everyone desires delicious, freshly baked bread.

Will mung beans, lentils, chickpeas, and rice work with this?

Yes, any dry, non-oily grain or legume can be ground. Corn, rice, chickpeas, mung beans, black beans, and pinto beans are some of the ingredients in this dish. Oily beans, such as coffee, cannot be ground because the stones become clogged. Anything larger than wheat, rice, rye, or barley, for example, should be ground twice: first, open it up to its widest setting to crack it into smaller pieces, then close the stones and mill it again to the desired fineness.

How many volts are there in your system?

110 volts

Is it possible for me to go to the cafe?

There is no way to molest coffee in the Mockmill because the coffee is extremely aceitoso.

I was disappointed, but I decided to give it back
3/5

My Vitamix has a dry container that isn't fine enough to grind fine enough for our cooking. So we went on the hunt for a good grinding mill, and after extensive online research, we settled on this one. br>When the mill arrived, I followed the instructions in the manual for the first time I used it. I was able to grind approximately 1. I used 5 cups of rice and threw it away (to save time). I began grinding after that, and it effortlessly chewed through everything I threw at it. Lentils, red/white hard wheat, rice, and dry spices (cumin seeds, coriander seeds). br>However, I discovered that the flour would always be coarse at the factory-set finest setting, so I attempted to adjust it. I was worried about the stones making (literal) grinding noises, but they did help a little. br>The manual claims (I believe) that a second pass isn't necessary, but it was. After two days, I was almost at the fineness I desired. 3 passes. We noticed black crunchy particles (not many, but enough to notice) in the flour, which made some nice fresh roti/chapati (Indian bread). It had to be the mill because the wheat was spotless. As a result, I repeated the manual's recommended initial cleanup. The problem persisted in the following batch of wheat flour. I had ground about 30 cups of various grains (mostly wheat of various kinds) after nearly three weeks of use, but the black particles made me nervous, so I returned it. br>With the exception of this mysterious black stuff in the flour, the mill is nearly perfect. Advantages: br>br> br>* The mill is extremely quick and simple to set up. After taking it out of the box, we were up and running in minutes. br>* The coarse-grained Cons: The fine adjustment lever is simple to use, and the overall operation is straightforward. br> br>* black particles in flour (even after grinding 30 cups of grains) at the highest setting - that's why I gave it back. br>* If you're looking to make roti or chapati, the wheat flour is too coarse. br>* Approximately 2-hours of preparation time is required. Fine flour requires three passes, and each pass becomes more difficult as the flour flows more freely after the first pass - It also generates dust in the immediate vicinity. br>* It is simple to open but difficult to clean, particularly when grinding sticky spices like cumin or coriander seeds.

Flour with a lower milling temperature is more nutritious
5/5

This became our home milling choice after extensive research, and we are pleased with it thus far. With a lower milling temperature than common high-rpm impact mills, the nutrition of grains is preserved. When you consider that ground whole grains have a short shelf life while unground grains can be stored for a long time if properly stored, home milling makes sense. Grind as needed/use flour as soon as possible to avoid rancidity of germ oils and other ingredients. Healthy. Did you know that commercial flour is almost certainly contaminated with glyphosate? In some areas, spraying Roundup before planting is advantageous to the farmer. It is legal, and they do it, to harvest to evenly ripen the crop. Beautiful golden wheat fields that have been sprayed with unnecessary chemicals just before being harvested for food. To avoid this nonsense, buy organic. Just don't expect your flour to be as cheap as store-bought flour, as quality wheat costs more per pound than supermarket flour. From the standpoint of a motor technician, the mockmill 100 uses a brushless 4-pole motor. perma-pole Ball bearing induction motor with split capacitor (capable of 1800 rpm without load on 60hz 120v power). Because there are no major wear parts and only a few moving parts, this motor is known for its long life. It's also extremely energy efficient at 360 watts. The lower millstone appears to be driven directly by the motor, whereas the upper millstone remains stationary except for coarseness adjustment via a lever and the ability to be removed for cleaning. Mockmills give you a lot of flexibility when it comes to fine and coarse flour. German quality gets five out of five stars. There is a 6-year warranty on this product. If there are any more disappointments in the future, I'll post an update. br>Update No. 4 19 I am not affiliated with mockmill, but I believe the first few pounds milled may have added some grits to the flour until they were broken in; if this is a concern, discard the first several pounds milled.

Mill that will change the game!   To begin, I'd like to state that for the past three years, I've been grinding my wheat with a wondermill on a regular basis
5/5

I enjoyed having (semi)freshly ground wheat, but I wasn't sold on the wondermill and was looking for a better alternative. I was a little hesitant to buy this because it was the same price as my other mill, but it appeared to be so much better. I figured there had to be a catch: a single, aesthetically pleasing unit that is quiet and uses stones for the same price. That isn't the case. I've made up my mind. This mill grinds extremely quietly and much more quickly than I expected. It doesn't heat the flour, and because it's such a pretty single unit, I just leave it on the counter and grind the wheat into my mixing bowl. This is a game changer! So easy. I'm relieved that I can provide my family with more nutrition and variety in their daily meals. This purchase has made me extremely happy. It was well worth the money!.

Flour is milled to a very fine consistency! I was using a Kitchen Aid stand mixer with the grain mill attachment
5/5

It worked reasonably well, but the flour was not fine enough to produce truly excellent bread. I just finished grinding 100 grams of Soft White Wheat Berries. On the finest setting, the resulting flour looks and feels exactly like store-bought flour, but now I have all of the bran and wheat germ in my flour for healthier bread. br>br>The mill was well-protected because of the excellent packaging. Before you use it for the first time, make sure you read the Operating Instructions, which should take no more than 5 minutes.

This mill works quickly, so I grind my grains twice
5/5

To keep the mill clean and make it easier to use, start with the coarsest setting and work your way up to the finest.

Heats up too much! Mine was faulty, and it overheated! It ground one cup of flour, then overheated and released steam, turning the flour inside into dough! At that point, the entire mill came to a halt
3/5

We cleaned it out, let it sit for a day to rest and cool, and then tried it again, and the same thing happened! I don't understand the point of a mill that mills a cup of flour and then requires cleaning, which takes a long time and wastes a lot of grain! This mill will be returned to me. After watching all of the mills reviews, I'm very disappointed, and I'll have to do some more research! And they will be taking 15% restocking fees as well as shipping fees for this mill as well. Never again will I buy from Amazon's third-party sellers.
