My wife is gluten intolerant, so we purchased this mill. So, in order to make gluten-free bread, we'd like to mill quinoa and other small grains. I believe it will be adequate for that purpose, but it is unfit for such a task. Small grains must be milled by hand, one grain at a time. The problem is that this causes the machine to spit small pieces of chopped grain out of the feed hole, scattering them around the room. When I called the customer service line, the woman told me that the only way to get the adapter (a small piece of PVC pipe) was to pay another $20 plus shipping. This obviously costs them next to nothing, but it appears to be a profit center for them. You'll need another $20 unless you're only milling wheat. I'm disappointed that they didn't just include this section for a mill that advertises its ability to mill a wide variety of grains.

Never misses a step while grinding wheat berries all day. I can't blame it for that because that's why I bought it in the first place. Things I'd like to see improved: br>br> br>br>I wish the grind settings were a little more precise; there are three options, ranging from coarse to fine, but I can't tell the difference between them. br>br>When the last of the grains are fed into the hopper, it tends to spit a few onto the counter or the floor. Now that I'm aware of this, I've started covering the hopper with my hands, a dish, or something similar to keep the seeds from flying out. br>br>It's a little noisy at first, especially when you first turn it on and fill the hopper. When you fill it up, it gets even better. br>br>Tip: After grinding the flour, set it aside for a few minutes. Static electricity causes the chaff to fly all over the place if you open it right away. Allowing it to rest for a minute or two before slapping the side or tamping the entire canister down on the counter eliminates the possibility of a mini-explosion. mess.

Only a smidgeon of dill seed was required to seal the unit; It came to a screeching halt, so I called the factory and followed their instructions for unplugging the unit. Their strategy did not work. To take advantage of the warranty, I had to send the unit in for repair (which cost about $25), after which they fixed it and charged me $25 to return it. So, despite the fact that it would void the warranty, I decided to fix it myself. Since this was only my second use of the unit, I wasn't going to invest any more money. They need a better method of removing the top and dumping out the cause of the blockage, as it takes about 2 minutes to grind completely. The photo depicts the unit being disassembled, as well as the small amount of seeds required to block it. When it worked, it worked great, but I'm losing faith in it now.

Given that I have five children and we are a military family trying to become more self-sufficient, I was extremely excited to receive this product. When FedEx delivered my package, I jumped for joy and unpacked it quickly. I double-checked my work by reading the manual. Because my wheat berries were frozen and not dried, I decided to run some corn through to "get rid of contaminates," as instructed in the manual. This thing stopped spinning and started spewing smoke in less than a minute (not kidding), and my house now smells like burnt popcorn. When I called the number listed in the book, I was told that I would have to pay for shipping both ways to have this thing fixed. Is this for real? It was only $218 when I bought it! Yes, it will be returned. For the price I paid and the fact that it broke the first time I used it, I should be entitled to a free replacement. I, on the other hand, have lost faith in this product and will not buy another.

On May 25, 2020, I received this. Since I bought it, I've only used it two times. I even shredded my chickpeas in a food processor when I last used it in July 2020. It consumed all of my flour, filled the house with smoke, and caused the metal piece to melt. This is an abysmal product that will leave you disappointed. I intended to return it, but Amazon's return period had expired. I had no choice but to send it to the Wondermill for repairs. And I had to pay nearly $100 for shipping and handling, and an adopter who I was told would assist me never showed up.

I bought it a little more than three months ago and am very pleased with it. It arrived in a timely manner and functioned flawlessly. When it's grinding, it's quite loud, so I wear ear plugs. However, after grinding about 40 pounds of hard, white wheat for about 10 minutes each week for the 12 weeks I used it, it smelled like it was on fire. I stopped using it and contacted The WonderMill Company in Pocatello, Idaho, and it didn't burn up. "Run a cup of rice through it to make sure it isn't clogged," said the first two guys I spoke with. " Even though I knew it wasn't clogged, I followed their instructions. Then I called them back and spoke with a woman who inquired as to the nature of the problem. When I explained that I had called earlier and explained why, and that I was calling back to find out how they were going to assist me, they were very helpful. "I've smelled burned motors and burned wheat," she admitted. So, go to our website and fill out the repair request form, which you can then send to us. Simply return the motor unit. Make sure it's well-protected and insured before sending it. "br>Now here's the deal- This WonderMill was only three months old when it caught fire. Did WonderMill say, "Gee, we're sorry you're having a problem?" because it had only been used for about two hours? " No, they didn't," says the narrator. Not once. They expected us to send it to them at our expense, along with a check or credit card number to cover return shipping! br>As a result, the cost of this item has increased by $43, and it is now a repaired item rather than a new one. For a three-month-old item, I was astounded by their customer service. If it was a year or more old, I could understand. We'll see how long this one lasts now that I have it back and it has been repaired. It does a good job grinding, but I would have bought a different grinder/mill if I had known how The WonderMill Company of Pocatello, ID would treat me.
