Do the machine's milling capabilities include malted barley grains for beer making as well? A mill that could serve both of these purposes would be ideal for us Creating baked goods and brewing beer. ?

My name is Thomas, and I used to make homebrew back in the 90's. The majority of the mashes are partial. The cracking of grain only needs to be done into two pieces for all grain brewing It is important to keep the hulls intact and not cut them into 4 pieces, as you will run the risk of a stuck runoff. If that's the case, well, I suspect that this mill will be unable to handle it, but I'd ask the MFR for clarification. A partial mash in a muslin bag is going to give you a bit more wiggle room, so you can crack a bit smaller than you would for all grain. Nevertheless, you should still only crack the grains and not grind them.

I like how it turned out
5/5

The KoMo is the mill I bought after the MockMill had a hard time processing the volume of wheat I needed. In addition, the consistency of the flour is better than what is produced by MockMill. There is some noise generated by the mill, and it is a little slow, but this shouldn't be an issue for a single batch of bread. My machine has run through enough wheat to make 20 loaves and it ran well. I did have to stop every few kilograms to let the motor cool. Everything comes out when you release the hopper after unscrewing it. In summary, it's a fairly straightforward machine. In terms of construction, it is really well done. I am confident that it will hold up for years to come. At some point I will probably upgrade to the commercial version, but for now I can live without this.

It is always best to make things at home
5/5

It has been almost 4 years since I bought it and I have heavily used it ever since. Despite all the time I have invested, I still believe this is one of the best things I have ever done for my health and kitchen. It is well known that milling your own flour is beneficial, so I won't elaborate much further. You can improve your health by eating a well-balanced diet. Machine made to grind grain with a 12-ton capacity If you would like a 12-year warranty (no typo there, that is actually a 12 year warranty), then the Fidibus 21 by Komo is the right choice for you. For some people, the price might be a deterrent, but you are getting a high quality milling machine. I have found it to be excellent for milling oats, rice, and rice bran, as well as making whole wheat flour. Despite its solid construction, it is easy to clean and maintain and works perfectly. Using freshly milled flour to make whole wheat pasta is one of my favorite things to do. Milling grains with this mill does not produce much flour dust like with A dry bristle brush, or grinding long grain rice, can be used to clean the grinding stones, or you can take the machine apart and brush the grinding stones. I find that I don't have buyer's remorse like I had with the cheaper plastic one I bought and returned after realizing how much dust it produces. When you care about the purity of your food (flour), this is one way to make sure you are not consuming harsh chemicals (benzoyl peroxide, yea the same stuff they use for acne is actually used to make flour white and pretty). The healthy parts are kept and the unhealthy parts are removed. What is your opinion of the book? Would you recommend it to your friends or I would love to!.

The mill I work at is amazing. Would have been nice to have gotten the mill that can also grind coffee so I could use it for both purposes. My hurry to buy prompted me to buy this mill, but I now know it is the best. I use it to grind wheat and flake oats. The best thing about this product is that it requires no Knowing how wonderful it is to mill your own wheat can help you appreciate it all the more.

My goal was to stop using so many processed foods and started with My favorite flour is unbleached, and I often bake with it. In spite of that, I am able to mill my own wheat and add it to my favorite recipes with my KoMo. Also, I am trying to come up with new recipes. I'm very happy with the.

The products are of the highest My husband loves the gift

I bought it as a gift for him. A large bag of wheat berries and oat groats means that our grains are freshly ground, and that makes a big A lot of care has gone into the workmanship. With my faith in this grain mill, we will be able to use it for many, many years to come. The price you pay is the quality you get.

That mill is amazing
5/5

I am so happy I purchased it. It was rather daunting to make the decision to buy the mill since the price tag was a bit steep for me to feel 100% guilt-free about The decision to drop 4 has been on the table for several months due to internal conflict. Firstly, let me just say that I am SO glad I bought Why do I feel guilty after spending so much money? THERE YOU ARE! Below you will find the following reasons 1

The only small appliance I own that I am proud to have on my counter in my beautiful kitchen, it sits on the counter like a proud wooden statue in all its wooden splendor and I have no reservations about that. I must say that the machine certainly looks good!

2. There is no doubt that this machine feels and looks The most common countertop appliances just seem to have a "made in China" feel (cheap parts, shoddy construction, and skimpy motors)? This baby is not for you. I honestly don't even know what it is, but it is a beast that performs as beautifully as it looks. With it, I can effortlessly mill spelt and rye flour so fine that when I pinch my fingers between my palms, it feels just like a puff of cloud, and I can also mill coarsely enough to crack my I was attracted by the ability to crack oats, which grew straight from a seed. In most cheaper mills, this is just not possible. 1. 2. 3. There is a lot of thought behind that simple but effective approach It is a well thought-out To operate it, you need to switch on the machine, place a bowl in front of the chute where the milled grain comes out, dump the grain in the hopper, turn the hopper until desired courseness/fineness arises, You simply need to pour grain into the chamber and watch it easily exit the chamber and accumulate in the collection bowl without the need for any assembly or disassembly. My personal experience is not like some reviewers describe their experience with other mills, where flour dust seems to fly everywhere and settle everywhere. 2. 3. 4. I am pleasantly surprised by how quiet it is. There are a lot louder appliances in my house than this grain mill, including my hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, and coffee grinder. I currently use the Komodo on my two year old who is terrified of loud noises and climbs up my leg whenever I am blow drying my hair or using my coffee grinder however, he does not bat an eyelash when I am using the Komodo. There is only one "con" to this machine, if you can call it that, which is that it is such a joy to use that I am always looking for reasons to use it. Because of that, I've always baked almost every single day since I purchased it in August. The way the spelt and sourdough loaves look is like they came right out of a bakery in Europe. I produce banana bread, muffins, etc etc with this mill and I haven't purchased any bread or flours from the grocery store since purchasing it. It seems that's not a con at all, I know it's pricy, but it's a gift to your health, and those are the best ones to spend money on.

It's expensive, but there is no need to think about When you make bread with fresh ground flour from a machine that produces bread of this quality, you will never look With its powerful motor, excellent grind quality, beautiful wood finish, and precision German engineering, this machine does its job perfectly. Artwork of this quality is very rare.
