The taste of the bottle eventually deteriorates over time, and you'll need to replace it sooner or later. As a replacement purchase, this is what I am buying. Frustration arises from the fact that neither metal nor glass are readily available for the bottles. Despite their protective actions, and their protective captives, there is no peace. Once again, I repeat myself. A good option for a clean crisp taste is not available for the long run. You will need to buy replacement bottles every year or six months.

That ought to have been apparent before I purchased. But I didn't, and now Amazon tells me that these items are non-returnable. I found nothing in the item listing saying they were not returnable all I can say is I have no idea why something purchased via Prime can't be returned. A waste of money that is very frustrating.
It was unfortunate for me to place the AirSoda bottle in the top section of my dishwasher, assuming it would be fine. Since most replacement bottles on Amazon do not allow returns, I was reluctant to buy one. Besides the SodaStream logo on the bottle, the bottle looks pretty much like the original one. It fits perfectly and looks exactly like the original one. Those of you who have AirSoda and are getting tired of waiting for their own bottle to be released, you can use this bottle as a replacement.
