The method you are using will not allow you to brown a turkey
3/5

Obviously, I didn't get it for its tall lid, but I did get it for its tall lid. There is however a slight difference in the height of the lid compared to the one I already have. I wished they would make all of these with a turkey-sized lid, or at least come with two lids. Besides that, it's pretty flimsy as well. There is no weight to the lid, which is very light and will not contain and hold heat as well as a heavier lid would. My mistake, because I discovered that after I purchased it, this won't brown a turkey. Yes, actually I don't want fake browning on top by putting a kitchen bouquet (yuck) on top of it, which is what the directions say you must Or perhaps I'll just give it away, or use it for something else other than turkey.

I had a good experience the first time and the second
3/5

I used it on Thanksgiving for the first time and it worked perfectly. On the other hand, when I tried using it again to roast a second turkey, it would just not get up to temperature, it has been on 450 for more than 90 minutes and won't even reach It took me another hour and a half to realize my thermometer was registering only about 190 degrees after preheating and roasting at 325 degrees for another hour and a half. This is something I used again in the return period and I am so glad I did. It worked great the first time I used it, so I don't know what happened.

It is made out of melting wax
5/5

The following applies There is a disclaimer in the instruction booklet that states that you should not use it for melting wax. Recent purchase of beeswax still needs to be filtered from a local bee farmer, so I have purchased the wax. The two of us talked about how we melt wax and how there really isn't a suitable tool for small businesses who need to melt wax. These ovens are used to roast turkeys for him. There are many things to like about it, such as being able to control the temperature As it is a safer way of melting wax than on the stovetop because too much heat can cause it to ignite. Meanwhile, I can melt 20lbs at one time! Granted at 180 degrees it takes at least 24 hours to melt but I can be productive until then. I was able to accomplish everything I wanted with everything I had.

I am pleased with the outcome
5/5

I am happy with this outcome. It can cook a roast well, is plenty big enough to cook a whole chicken, and is easy to Make sure you use the rack on which the roast is sitting so that you can haul it in and out of the oven.

The water cannot be boiled
4/5

My perception is that the product is a product that has been returned by another customer due to a bad package. It is my pleasure to say that after using this Roaster Oven for about three months, I have found it to be a high-quality oven, and I am using it for the restaurant every day with no hiccups. Moreover, it is of a good size. In addition, I ought to mention that this oven is not able to boil My oven does not boil water, so I am not sure whether it occurs in all ovens, or if they expect the user to not boil water in it.

This is what exactly makes Turkey so special
5/5

Thank you for your generosity on Thanksgiving. I was pretty nervous using this for the first time, especially with an entire house of guests coming to visit. However, I am pleased to say that the 20 lb turkey was fantastic! I highly recommend. It is very moist and perfectly cooked. The oven was freed up for all the sides once it was done in 3 hours. I enjoyed it very much! This is a product I recommend.

Having it within reach for most and being within hands reach, I wish it were better insulated
4/5

So far, I have roasted a spaghetti squash and cooked an 18-pound turkey in this oven. It is a bit tricky to figure out the timing for conventional ovens, but it has all been If you would like a counter-argument A top roaster can get really hot on the outside. There's no way it can be more well insulated as it is within reach for most and the heat creates quite the fright.

Besides oven 3, it is a good alternative
3/5

This is a 5 star review. As for the oven, it cooked the turkey well and kept it moist as it didn't require any basting, so it was a low maintenance oven to use especially since I was cooking two turkeys, one in the regular oven and one in the microwave Based on comparison of the two methods and birds, it was clear that the oven looked better, with nice and even bruising. A downside of not basting is that the gravy doesn't really have a base. Despite the fact that the roaster turkey tasted good and was moist, the gravy lacks the depth of flavor you often get when the chicken broth is reduced. It's the perfect alternative if you don't care about gravy or if you have a different cooking method this Thanksgiving and if you still need to use the oven for other things. PS- You might want to check out this recipe. During the cooking of the 23ish pound turkey in the convection oven, the roaster cooked a bit quicker than the convection oven.
