I was past the time limit for returns. Breville has produced a piece of garbage.
It's a joy to work with. Before operating, I recommend reading the manual in its entirety; this will save you time in the long run. br>br>It has evenly reheated and cooked all of our dishes. You'll be good to go once you've mastered the controls and functions. br>br>The soft auto door close and the sound dampening are two of my favorite features. Breville, congratulations on a job well done.
Cons:
- A loud ringing sound is produced by the light.
- Advertising that is quite deceptive. Only a few of the "smart" functions (I'm not sure how many, has anyone compiled a list??) use the smart IQ sensor function. The rest of the intelligent ones are simply time and power machines that don't "sense" food. The smart reheat, on the other hand, appears to work flawlessly with no splattering.
- There is no backlighting on the clock. I liked the fact that my old microwave could be seen in the dark.
- There isn't any kind of clock! This is a complete blunder. It would be great to have a kitchen timer, but my stove's display is broken, so I had to rely on my microwave to keep track of things.
I'm quickly becoming a Breville fanatic, thanks to the Breville Smart Oven Air and this microwave. So much so that I'm two months away from getting their peeling and chopping food processor. The defrost and reheat modes are two of the microwave's smart features that I like. The sensors detect what's going on inside, making these procedures simple. One issue to be aware of is that the reheat function has the potential to overcook your food, so proceed with caution. After two weeks, I'm very pleased!.
We removed it from its packaging - It also had a great appearance - However, nothing happened as soon as we plugged it in; no power. To be safe, we tried two more outlets. Nothing; no power. I repackaged it and sent it back to the customer. What a colossal letdown! Breville is not a cheap brand, and I expected a higher level of quality control from a non-electric product.
I also wanted it to be appealing to the eye and simple to maintain. That is exactly what this provides. Settings? They appear intimidating at first because there are two knobs to turn to move around, but it only took me two cooking attempts to make it as simple as flushing a toilet. br>br>However, I have a complaint about how expensive this thing is for how poorly it cooks. It cooks, which is fine, but even at maximum power, it takes a long time to really heat up, and I've had two microwaves before that would scorch food in the time it takes this to properly cook them. To compensate, I always have to add 15 to 20 seconds to my cooking times. But that's basically just slapping the Start button again, which is exactly what I wanted!.
The breville smooth wave microwave is, in my opinion, one of the best microwaves on the market. I was going to get an average microwave, but I like the indoor touch panels, which are kind of like hot keys. There is a pizza and beverages. The turn dial is way different than the typical key panel, and as an amateur tech junkie, this microwave spoke to me. I also love the LCD screen, which allows you to Que and find popcorn, as well as defrosting specific food items.
