It can only be operated at 110 volts. The juicer is still one I use often, the price is a bit high but it is
In spite of the uncertainty, I waited until I could get a large grapefruit in my part Just juicing a grapefruit that was 5" in diameter was a challenge for me. I measured 16 inches (5. A circumference of 5 inches). There was no more than a quarter-inch of white pulp inside. The top proved to be no problem at all, and juice came out easily. The only thing I discovered was that the grapefruit meat edge was still intact, as the juicer core is only 4 inches across. Simply close the top a little and press the grapefruit with my fingers along the side for two seconds and it was done. I found it very easy to complete. I wish you good luck and hope that this answer was helpful.
The shaft of this fruit press easily breaks, and the cup that presses the fruit also breaks. This is the reason why the shaft of the press breaks easily and the cup that presses the fruit also breaks easily.
The answer to this is also a question I would like answered. Due to gears that have obviously been created with plastic, I have had to dispose of several juicers. If there were one that would last and has solid metal gears, I would love to find it.

31 October 2017 is the date when it was delivered to my home. The drive shaft cracked after only five pounds of orange press, although it seems like it's a well built appliance. There is a long vertical fracture and not a small crack.
Members of the public should know that this shaft is made of low quality plastic and regardless of how durable the rest of the machine is, this little shaft represents an oversight by the manufacturer and a disappointment to consumers. I called the USA number listed on the back of the User Guide but was put on hold for a long time. Finally I left my phone number with the answering system and came here to request assistance from Breville. I hope they will see this and advise me on how to proceed with the machine.
It gets very hot and would not work for a long time. Now the smell of burned rubber permeates throughout the whole unit. Sadly, the return period with Amazon has closed, so I will have to work directly with Breville for any replacements or repairs. I would look elsewhere if you're going to juice more than 30 pieces of fruit.
My only complaint is that the part that juices the fruit fits on a hexagonal plastic Apparently, that plastic rod isn't very strong and doesn't seem to be able to withstand much pressure. I was very disappointed when the rod of the first one I had was damaged after the first use. It may have been a little user error where the juicer part wasn't lined up properly on the rod, but the fact that the rod was so easily damaged is a little worrisome. I had the part replaced, and it appears that the product as a whole is built out of good materials, is heavy, and seems of high quality, except for this critical part. I have not had any problems with the new one, but I have a little paranoia. Nevertheless, this is one of the best citrus juicers because it works so well and fast.
Years ago, I was the owner and user of one of these. I think it's fine all in all. It would seem reasonable to expect (and I did) that for the price it would produce high quality juice and last for Both are true, but it fails to do either. Basically, it is just like any other juicer on the market in that it is designed for a relatively low level of production and an overuse of it causes it to get stressed and fall apart. Mine lasted about two years before it started falling apart and it finally quit after about five I suppose one could consider that to be the lifespan of such a unit, but I can get the same performance by buying one for 50 bucks. We recommend you skip.
In addition to its fragile plastic construction, the "Fruit Dome's" connector gets worn down fast and is easily broken. Since this cannot be replaced by itself, one has to purchase the entire fruit dome. According to their customer service, "Fruit and accessories are not covered under warranty, so you will have to purchase a new dome if you want one. ". When I came across it towards the end of last citrus season, it had been less than five months since I picked it up. It was very good while it was working, it was quiet, looked nice, and juiced much faster than by hand, so I guess I will just buy the replacement parts as they become available, from looking at the design I don't have much hope that the next one will last long. Here's the update Then I attempted to contact their customer service again and they finally fixed the problem, so I downgraded to one star. A year is not long enough for these to become trash.
Cast stainless steel juicer is a great machine. Having owned numerous juicers over the past three decades, I can honestly say that this one is excellent. Since I began buying fresh oranges off trees each month in November of each year from Al's Family Farms in Fort Pierce, Florida, I have become accustomed to buying boxes of fresh Indian River fruit each month. I juice Ruby Red Grapefruit, Navel Oranges, Temple Oranges, Unique Oranges, and my favorite Valencia Oranges in the spring (Al's is a great company, by the way). It sounds like a lot of juicing to me! It takes no time at all for this Breville juicer to extract juice from these lovely citrus fruits. There is no need to worry about removing the parts of the juicer from the machine and putting them back together in the dishwasher. It looks as good as new after it comes out of the dishwasher. By blocking seeds and pulp, the spout of the container keeps particles from contaminating the liquid. Using the machine, there is a lever that is pulled down to scrape citrus slices off of the machine, and even individuals with severe arthritis could use this. It is almost effortless for the machine to squeeze every drop of juice out of the citrus. bought it after using it just once. I had electric juicers for decades that felt like doing a workout at the gym every time I juiced. No juice is spilled or splattered on the juicing area of the Breville, and the area This juicer is great! I'm glad I bought it. The price is high, but the quality is so much better!.
After only 3 uses, I had to return the juicer because it got overheated and turned off in the middle of Usually I'm barely able to juice one cup before the machine shuts In contrast, a $45 juicer on which I previously relied was able to juice for over an hour without shutting down and this $180 juicer wouldn't juice for 5 minutes without shutting off It will take about 10 minutes.
