Recently, I've been desperate to find an alternative due to the high cost of nearly $10 per day. However, due to the associated noise, I am unable to use an espresso machine in the office. I started using it in the office kitchen, but now I only use it at my desk because it makes no noise and makes such a small amount of noise. I also have a milk frothing machine that I bought on Amazon. This machine is simple to operate, clean, and appears to be well constructed. For an additional $20, I bought the one with the case. br>It was great for 2 months, but then it was gone. The unit appears to be losing pressure and is becoming much easier to press, so I'm afraid it'll be dead soon. br>Recent changes: After about ten uses, it became unusable. I was furious until I read the instructions and discovered that I could clean the mesh filter by removing it with an Allen wrench. I did this by filling it with boiling hot water. It's working perfectly once more.
The best coffee I've ever had- for a short period of time The filter basket was missing the first time I ordered it. Returned! br>br>All parts were included the second time I ordered this. It was fantastic for espresso. It worked for a while, but then it didn't. It worked one day and then didn't the next- Although the grounds in the filter basket were dampened, nothing came out. It didn't appear to be clogged in any way. It may have fired a total of ten shots before failing. I followed the user's manual's troubleshooting steps to a tee. but to no avail I emailed Wacaco, but they were as useless as the instruction manual. This is what they responded with: "I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. I'm not sure what the problem is with your machine based on your description, but since you said you bought it from Amazon in early May, I recommend you contact the seller directly for a replacement or refund while it's still under warranty. I'm guessing this will be a lot more practical for you. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you. "br>br>Unfortunately, a replacement is not an option as long as the nanopresso's failure is unknown. Regrettably, I must return a device capable of producing excellent espresso.
5 years! I don't usually write reviews, but I believe this item deserves one. We bought it in July 2018 and use it EVERY SINGLE DAY to make 2-minute meals. (Americano) coffee in four mugs It makes the best espresso (complete with a layer of crema on top!). ) for a unit that is so simple. We've taken it camping, backpacking, to friends' houses (who don't drink coffee), and so on. With this, we purchased the Baristo Kit, which allows us to make a double shot of espresso with hot water on top. The unit is simple to maintain and operate ( It helps to build muscle by providing a light workout! I put off writing this review for a while because I contacted the company about a year ago to order a replacement gasket (the larger orange one) as a backup. if the one that came with it didn't work They stated at the time that this gasket was not available separately. I wasn't happy because this product wouldn't work without this gasket (it wouldn't be able to build up the necessary pressure), and this gasket is unique to this product, so finding it elsewhere would be difficult. The gasket did, indeed, develop a small horizontal split about three months ago. It still functioned, but coffee grounds would accumulate beneath it, necessitating the removal of the gasket after each shot in order to clean it. I didn't think the gasket would last very long because we were turning it on and off so frequently. So I contacted the company again via their website, and lo and behold, they were now selling this gasket for $1 per unit. (Just in case!) I ordered two of them. ), with shipping costing $7. However, because it came from China, it took approximately 6 weeks to arrive. It was, however, well worth the wait because it functions exactly as it did when it was new, with no need to clean under the gasket every time we make an espresso shot. We've put our regular coffee makers away or put them aside because we're so happy with this little device. Keurig. Just one more thing. When pumping the device, it will occasionally fail to build up pressure (the pump handle will simply go in). out with no opposition). We don't know why this happens because it happens so rarely and we haven't noticed a pattern. When this has occurred (possibly 5 times in the last two years), 5 years) I simply unscrew all of the pieces, drain any excess water from the main unit, and refill the pod with ground coffee. In the past, doing all of these things has always fixed it, but as I previously stated, this has only happened on rare occasions. Also, if pressing the pump is extremely difficult, either the coffee is too finely ground or the pump is malfunctioning. /or you've crammed it into the pod too tightly. br>If you decide to purchase this sliver of paradise. Enjoy! )br>(4/27/21) UPDATE: br>Unfortunately, it died not long after I finished writing this review. I believe it is time for a spring cleaning. The loaded connector came loose, and there was no way to see or fix the problem because there was no way to open the device. However, we enjoyed it so much that we purchased a second one at Costco when it was on sale. com. The first replacement we purchased squeaked loudly with each press (which was completely unacceptable), so we returned it and bought another, which appears to be working fine and came with a Nespresso adapter, which was a nice bonus because the espresso roast Nespresso pods make excellent coffee. We do, however, use the Barista double shot kit on a daily basis and grind our own coffee, so buying another one was still worthwhile. When you compare buying this to buying that, I guess it's a no-brainer. We would definitely choose this over going to Starbuck's 16 times for a $5 coffee (which cost about the same!).
Krups Moka Brew is a great way to start the day. With the Stagg adaptor, you can do steam vacuum extraction, pour over, siphon, cold brew, and use an aeropress. For travel, trail running, or ultras, I needed to give this a shot. I was taken aback by the first couple of shots. It's simple to use and understand. You won't get a shot like you would from a $1000 machine, but you will get something that is surprisingly good. Simple to work with. It's very transportable. It's not difficult to clean. I really like it, so I'm going to order the double shot accessory as well. Note: It comes with only one shot, which appears to be a bit of a snoozer. Me? Anytime I get a chance, I'll take a double shot. I'm so impressed that I'm going to show it to some of my java-obsessed coworkers at work tomorrow. workers. With this little bad boy, you can't go wrong.
