Questions & Answers
We're sorry, but we're not quite sure what you're talking about. What is the difference between the WACACO Minipresso Kit and the WACACO Minipresso Tank? Minipresso Kit is a combination of the Minipresso Tank and three additional Minipresso GR filter baskets with caps, while Minipresso Tank is just a water tank. Minipresso Kit is compatible with the Minipresso GR, but Minipresso Tank is compatible with both the Minipresso GR and the Minipresso NS.
This is an authentic Wacaco minipress accessory. that is not the case
Yes it is
This is a kit that can be purchased separately. The minipresso must be purchased first, as the kit only adds a larger water reservoir and more shot baskets. The minipresso, which is sold separately, comes with a pump.
Selected User Reviews For WACACO Minipresso Kit, Accessory for Minipresso GR, Larger Water Tank with 3 Filter Baskets, for Lungo Espresso
I bought this kit based on the reviews, but I wish it had been half the price, as that would reflect the true value to me. I adore the Minipresso and plan to use it primarily for its larger water chamber. br>br>Like others, I didn't use my Minipresso very often because of the small water chamber and the hassle of making a double shot. The new water chamber is enormous in size – This kit's only redeeming feature is that item. My original cup/cap was ruined in the garbage disposal, and the replacement will not stay attached. I expected the basket lids to snap on or stay in place, but they don't, so they're useless unless you want to rubberband them to the baskets for travel and have a rubberband odor in the water chamber. You can't fit three espresso baskets in the new larger water chamber because you can't get your fingers and the baskets in there without spilling your espresso grounds if you want them pre-ground. packed.
They make bringing coffee to work a whole lot easier. Between home and work, I use the minipresso several times a day, and being able to get larger shots without having to refill the tank encourages me to use it more frequently. However, the two halves of the large tank became unglued from one another within a month of receiving it. When I twisted to remove the tank, only the outer shell came off, leaving the inner part behind; it was a simple matter to repair, but it was still annoying. Since then, I've had no problems, and it continues to accompany me to and from work every day.
It's really not a problem if you stack them and flip the vessel over while putting them in and taking them out. It's great to have a bigger water tank and more baskets so you don't have to bring coffee and clean it out every time you fill it up.
I've had the minipresso gr for about 6 months for our trailer, and while I enjoy the espresso, I find that preparing for a second shot (due to insufficient water) is too time consuming. I went on the lookout for a bigger water vessel and came across the "kit," which includes three additional shot baskets. What it doesn't say is that you have more water to make shots with, but you'll have to guess how much water to use for extraction for the first shot, then stop and add another basket. and then extract once more - I'm guessing because there aren't any instructions. Furthermore, none of the videos (and I've watched a lot) show or explicitly state that you must first use the first basket and extract, then stop and add a second basket and extract once more. br>br>To make matters worse, there is no direct way to contact Wacaco for help or instructions, and there is no email address for international communication. Finally, they upgraded to the Nanopresso, which has more bars, between the time I bought the Minipresso and the kit, and I'd like to trade it all in (minipresso and kit) for the Nanopresso and the Barista Kit. I guess I'll have to wait and see if anyone responds to my offer, but I certainly hope so! br>br>It's not difficult to clean, it's great for travel, and it makes excellent espresso! My main criticism is that it could use better instructions.
I enjoy using my WACACO portable espresso machine, and I wanted to be able to make more espresso at once, so I purchased this larger water tank. It functions admirably. It's easy to transport and interchanges with the existing (smaller) Minipresso water tank, so all you need is one cylinder and you've got yourself an espresso machine! It also came with extra espresso holders/filters, which I didn't need but which make things even easier. This is an excellent investment.
It only works if you have plenty of hot water on hand. I take it to work and on my roasting trips, and it always does the job; in fact, I've had people try it for themselves, and they're blown away by the flavor this product produces. I would strongly suggest it as a gift for anyone who enjoys espresso.
If you want to achieve your goal, it's a good idea to have several coffee pods ready ahead of time and a larger water bottle. I lament the lack of larger coffee pods, as preparing a double espresso remains difficult, and the quality of the plastic with which it is constructed appears to be inferior to that of the cafetera itself.
The most delicious flavor I've ever had. If you prefer real espresso to coffee, this Barista Kit will help you get the most out of your Minipresso portable. I do it every morning, and I've saved a lot of money by not drinking ordinary coffee. br>br>Literally, the Kit has put an end to my search for the perfect flavor; all I have to do now is wait. Don't accept anything less than the best!.
