This coffee maker is a hit with my husband and me. Our previous one, a Mr Coffee, finally gave up the ghost after many years, but I didn't care for the pot because it was difficult to pour water without it spilling over the pot's lip. This new cylinder-shaped pot pours coffee and water perfectly and cleanly, and it's much easier to slide in and out of the base. We are older than dirt, so this pot should last us until the end.
IT DID NOT COME WITH ANY TYPE OF FILTER.
It's not difficult at all to remove the basket and clean it, and the coffee tastes just as good as it does in my Keurig. The coffee takes a while to brew, but for $17, I can't say I'm complaining. Anyone who is nitpicking should either spend more money or learn how to wash a dish. br>In this price range, I returned the black and decker model and replaced it with this, which I prefer.
For years, I've relied on the Mr. Coffee coffeemaker. This model, unfortunately, does not work! The spring-loaded shut-off mechanism or the carafe's fit prevents water from flowing properly into the carafe. Water overflows the filter, stays in the brewing cup, and produces weak coffee as a result. It has been returned.
I live in a small studio with very little counter space. I'm a coffee drinker, but my old coffee pot's coffee always had a slight metallic taste to it, and it would turn off immediately after brewing due to its size. Until I bought and used this one HUGE DIFFERENCE, I had no idea what I was missing in a good coffee pot. Despite the fact that it does not turn off on its own and that I had to purchase filters, I am very happy with my purchase. This coffee pot was inexpensive, small enough to fit in a small space, and tasted great.
In the morning, one pot is sufficient for my travel mug and a cup. This coffee maker appeals to me because it includes a warming plate, which the one I purchased only a week ago did not. It's straightforward and accomplishes the task at hand.
The coffee maker's design is not user-friendly. friendly!
Cons: The coffee maker's top lid opens "on the side," rather than front to back, making it inaccessible. friendly! In addition, due to a faulty top lid design, you can only use or store the coffee maker one way on the counter.
2. Only one-third of the water level can be seen. As a result, it can only be used from one side.
3. If left- I don't advise it because of "right-handedness. " Design for "handedness" (I'm not left-handed). handed; However, I wanted to make sure that anyone who might be interested was aware of the situation.
4. The location of the water spout makes it difficult to place the filter basket in the coffee maker; Additionally, once the coffee is finished, it is difficult to clean under the water spout.
5. Coffee "splashes" all over the top of the coffee carafe lid due to a faulty water spout design, rather than "IN" the coffee pot. br>br>I'm sorry for having to write a negative review for a "Mr. Coffee" product; however, this coffee maker has far too many "faulty" designs to recommend. This coffee maker is not something I would recommend! For more than 40 years, we've relied on Mr. Coffee coffee makers; Mr. Coffee was once known for his A design and craftsmanship, but not any longer. What a bummer!.
This works well, but cleaning the inside is nearly impossible due to the numerous nooks and crannies found in the water and filter compartments. It was extremely difficult to dry out the inside, and I was dissatisfied with the results.
