The first four cups I brewed with this brewer were a disappointment. 3 cups non-foamed steamed milk and 1 cup non-foamed cold milk I felt like I'd tried everything there was to try. Skim milk, almond milk, and whole milk are all options. Setting for a latte and a cappuccino. I was ready to put it back in the box and return it because the price was too high for something that would only make one cup of coffee. But, fortunately, my last-ditch effort was successful! I was puzzled as to why they had given me this frother lid. Maybe it's there for a reason. I wish this wasn't the review I'm writing because I loved my older Keurig unit, which I was planning on replacing; however, after testing two of these coffee machines, we've discovered that the units have an electrical fault that trips the breakers. It's not just on gfci/gfi outlets that I'm talking about. Tripped outlets can be found in every room of the house. It's a real pain. I know it's a lot, but it's exactly what I needed! ) As far as I can tell, nothing compares to this machine; it doesn't make "real" espresso, but the "strong" option on the machine gives me the next best thing with a dark or espresso roast (the "strong" option can also be used to make a stronger brew of regular coffee). ) I really like the milk frother. My mother is a snob when it comes to latte foam, and she was blown away by how good it was. As a result, for her birthday, I purchased this machine. It does all of this AND makes lattes and cappuccinos in Keurig time. I looked into a few other machines that offered similar features, but they brewed coffee at a snail's pace, and I don't have that kind of time in the morning. Finally, it's SUPER EASY TO USE (which is why I bought it for my mother), which I appreciate because I get easily confused before my first cup of coffee in the morning. On a Tuesday, I bought this item. On a Thursday, it was delivered. Everything was great for the first week, but then it stopped working exactly one week after purchase. It turns on, but instead of brewing, it simply shuts down. I contacted Keurig customer service, and we rebooted the machine, disabled the auto-off feature, and tried a variety of other troubleshooting techniques before being directed back to Amazon. So a replacement is on the way, and hopefully it won't break down after only a week. br>br>For the time it worked, it produced perfectly frothed milk for both hot and cold drinks, and we were able to brew coffee without any problems. I'm hoping I just got a "lemon" the first time around and it's not a problem with all of the units.

This is exactly what I was looking for! I only have one cup of coffee per day. A latte or mocha is the most common choice. I bought a K cup universal filter and use it with my favorite Starbucks coffee to get two espresso shots per use. The milk foamer is ideal - it produces just the right amount of foam. Half-and-half, heavy whipping cream, and almond milk have all been used in this recipe. That hasn't been a problem so far. With all three, I get great foam. It was well worth the money I spent on it - I'll save money in the long run, and this machine will be paid for!.
