I used to work as a barista, and there is a reproductive harm warning for espresso machines because of the milk residue left on the frothing tools. After each use, we were taught to thoroughly clean it. I'm not sure why, but I was taught that any leftover milk froth was potentially dangerous, especially to pregnant women, so it might be worth investigating the risks associated with frothed milk.
This is a really cool hack. br>br>Due to "black striping (a sort of barcode) on the lid, the machine "reads" the pods. br>br>On Amazon, you can get a pack of foil lids for a very low price. The pods can then be rinsed and saved, and reused multiple times before being discarded. It's as simple as putting in your own turf. It can be inconvenient and messy. I, on the other hand, needed to save money. They didn't have a "reusable" plastic pod at the time, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do now. Which is the more intelligent option? br>Perhaps you've come across K- Dishwasher-safe and reusable cup versions of what I'm talking about again. br>br>However, you should be aware that Folgers coffee pales in comparison. Not by a long shot. I think I tried grinding Starbucks coffee beans, but it didn't work out. Even with the espresso grounds in it, it managed to get a foam on the top. br>br>In my opinion, Nespresso pods are well worth the money.

This is complete garbage. Yes, it makes espresso (sort of) and what I can only call whipped coffee - big deal. None of it is under your control. My grievances are as follows: 1. br>br> The espresso is not strong enough. taken out The water is too hot, and the pressure is too low. It gives the result the appearance of espresso by whipping it into a fake crema. It has a strong coffee flavor to it.
2. The strength of the pods is not revealed by their names. They try to sound sophisticated by using meaningless Fretalian words, but it's all the same bean roasted to various degrees of darkness. It would be easier if they simply labeled the pods with an intensity number, but no, you must be able to distinguish between the invented names.
3. It's the coffee that's the problem. When I need a cup of regular coffee, I still use my Keurig. Don't expect this to take the place of your coffeemaker.
4. In addition, the optional milk frother is ineffective. Not only does it not heat the milk, but if you do, the machine flashes red and refuses to operate (too hot!). An extra $90 for a glorified whisk was a waste of money. br>br>Rather than this overpriced, over-engineered machine, you'd be better off purchasing a cheap manual espresso machine. It's a hyped-up piece of shite.
I thought the Vertuo Coffee would be a good buy. I love Nespresso coffee and have a small espresso machine that I use frequently. I assumed that the Vertuo Coffee would be of comparable quality, so I purchased it. The coffee itself is delicious, with a creamy, frothy texture when brewed. It is, however, delivered in a warm state. It's only warm, not hot, and if you want to put cream in it, you'd better put it in the microwave first; it's very disappointing. If all I wanted was a good hot cup of coffee, I wouldn't mind paying for the pods. I'm returning it in the hopes that Nespresso will address the issue in a future model.
Coffee is fantastic! I don't usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so in light of this outstanding product. br>br>I first encountered this machine at an AirBnb in Canada. I enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning, so when I saw this gadget (along with a handful of capsules) in the kitchen, I was perplexed. When I couldn't find any instructions, I turned to YouTube for help. To be honest, I thought it would make a terrible cup of coffee. Wow, did I get a pleasant surprise! When I returned to the United States, I knew I had to have one. My timing isn't always ideal, but I got lucky and got it for $99 (including the sampler coffee kit) on Amazon. I've had the unit for two months and can't say enough good things about it. On my counter, the chrome version is perfect! Odacio and Melozio are two of my favorite flavors. Every day, I have a cup or two of tea. Yes, it isn't the cheapest coffee, but for the money, I think it's a good deal. The machine is available for purchase at my local Sonoma and Williams store, which also graciously provided me with official Nespresso recycling bags. br>br>A steaming cup of coffee with half and half cream is my favorite. I read a few reviews where people complained about the coffee being lukewarm. It's actually quite simple to find a solution. It is possible to plan ahead of time. Simply press the start button while the handle is in the "neutral" position or the machine's top is lifted into the open position to warm it up. The machine will run for a total of 9 minutes, according to my calculations. The heating element warms up during this time (the machine's top will be quite warm to the touch). Simply make yourself a steaming hot cup of coffee after that. I'm not sure why this option isn't recommended by the manufacturer. br>br>Since I've stopped using my old basket, my kitchen is much cleaner. I use a drip coffee maker in the style of (though I compost regularly). I don't miss having to clean and dry the coffee maker. I've re- I've ordered Nespresso capsules from Amazon a few times. The following day is usually when they arrive. I've become a vocal advocate for a great cup of coffee at a little over a buck a pop (with ultra convenience)!.

I should've expected them to lose their flavor over time, just like other pod systems. I've moved on to other coffee machines that I think are better. The lack of stock for the pods on Amazon, as well as the cost of purchasing the pods from the website (some retailers on Amazon were raising prices for the pods, and nespresso suddenly became more expensive than going to Starbucks!) were the factors that turned me away from this item. So it's been donated now. While it lasted, it was enjoyable.
