Yes, if you don't unplug the heating element before turning it on, it will revert to the previous temperature. If you unplug the unit and then plug it back in, the temperature will be set to the default.
It's about two feet and a half. It's a little thicker than most, and it's three pronged (with ground).
In March, you'll be able to purchase the green electric kettle.
I was considering disassembling the base unit and removing the "Beeper" from the circuit. It's the only way I know of to get rid of it. I agree that it is inconvenient, particularly at 3 a.m. Aside from that, it's a lovely gooseneck kettle.

The Fellow SKAG kettle is comparable to, if not superior to, the Fellow SKAG kettle. My son-in-law is in possession of the Fellow. Yes, this kettle is comparable to, if not superior to, the Fellow, with the exception of one minor detail that I could overlook: The handle isn't perfectly aligned with the pot (there's some space between the handle and the pot body, and there's that strange screw on the bottom that you can feel when you hold the pot. . . the Fellow, on the other hand, is nearly perfect). However, I like the end result of this one. It also has the EKG temperature measurement, which ensures that the temperature you set is accurate (I double-checked with an external thermometer). . . and it's made of 18/8 stainless steel, which I prefer to the 305 used by the Fellow. Enough said; the cost is half that of the other, making it a no-brainer! For the handle screw and hole at the bottom of the handle, I deducted one star.
It's what I use for my teas and their various steeping temperatures. I bought it primarily for the aesthetic of my matcha and tea setup in the morning. If you're picky about temperature, I recommend pressing the keep warm button once it's reached the desired temperature. When the water heats up from its original temperature, it fluctuates a degree higher or lower. I gave it a 4/5 because I ordered the green kettle and instead got the grey kettle.
This kettle is one of my favorites. I make matcha and green teas, both of which require specific temperature requirements, which are often quite low. This kettle maintains a constant temperature. It's turned on, and it's quickly heating up - My stove kettle takes longer to come to a boil. I frequently choose a kitchen task to complete (empty the dishwasher, make toast, or scramble eggs) and race against the clock to reach my desired temperature - I almost never come out on top in any of my games. You can set the temperature to any number you want - Even at this price point, most kettles come with a couple of pre-programmed functions. set temperatures, but this gives you a lot more freedom. br>br>I steam vegetables or make pasta on the stove at the temperature of boiling water. I have a gas stove, and because 1 liter from the kettle usually suffices, it feels much less wasteful than waiting for water to boil in a pot on the gas burners. When the temperature reaches 200 degrees, I simply add the water from the kettle to the pot and begin cooking the food. br>br>The kettle is stunning. I have no qualms about leaving it out on my counter because I believe it enhances the appearance of my kitchen more than most appliances. The temperature and power buttons aren't overly large or obtrusive. I also placed an order for a couple of other well-known brands. rated kettles before deciding on this one, and the large controls on others were deal breakers for me. br>br>The only issues I have are:br>1. I can't seem to recall the heating sequence - Is it better to turn it on first, then set the temperature, and then add the kettle? Or do you put the kettle on first, then add the water? I simply use the "stay warm" feature to solve the problem. To be honest, it's a great feature in any case, because I get easily distracted and forget to make my tea, so there's no heat loss when I return 10 or 20 minutes later.
2. As the handle gets more and more use, it appears to be drying out a little (it's wood), but I'm sure I can keep it looking nice by treating it the same way I treat my wood cutting boards. TBD. br>These do not detract sufficiently from the five-star rating!.
Both the kettle and the base weigh approximately 1 pound and 9 ounces. each. They are connected by three concentric circles, so the pot must be placed in such a way that it can be lifted straight up. A full liter of liquid can be stored in this container. The ready tone is very soft, but you can hear the heating water rumble, so it quickly reaches the desired temperature. Just before the right temperature, there is a small click, and the setting changes to prevent the water from overheating. At least 2 cups of water are required for this pot to function. It overheats for just one cup of water at 175 degrees; clearly, the mechanism cannot weigh and adjust for such a small volume. 16 oz. works just fine. The controls are simple to use, the spout pours quickly and accurately, and the shape was a selling point. It's fun to experiment with different teas and coffees to see what the best brew temperature is.
The price was excellent, and the product itself appeared to be stylish. I got the green one, and it's quite nice; I especially like the wood accents. The controls are simple to operate, and it usually reaches the desired temperature shortly after I finish measuring and grinding my coffee. It's simple to control the flow of the liquid. It's been two weeks since I've used it, and I'd strongly recommend it.
It was a lovely sage green color, but the wooden handle was scratched when it arrived. It appears that they sent me an item that had previously been used. That is completely unacceptable, especially at this price.
This is a fantastic method. The water has been completely drained from the spout (which is preferable to turning it upside down). The controls are simple and intuitive to use; the temperature control may slightly overshoot the temperature, so set it to 204 or 205 to stay in the best range for coffee. It's attractive to look at, and unlike the unit it replaced in my kitchen, it's difficult to turn on by accident.
When it heats up, it goes 3 degrees above the set temperature before cooling down to the set temperature. When you turn it on, the temperature will be set to the previous setting. The kettle is kept, but it does not start up automatically. After turning it on, I press the keep warm button, and it begins to heat up and reach the previously set temperature. without straying too far from the mark br>It is very quiet and only beeps once when the temperature is reached.
