That's what it does, it launches the grinding like a button that turns it on or off.
Coffee and spices are usually the things I use it for. Originally intended for dry goods, this product does a great job. My overall impression of this grinder is very positive, both in terms of performance and noise level.
The only one that is dry is no at all
The downward pressure that you apply only stops when you release it

With coffee beans, it will get the job done well, but I have an Espresso machine that has a built in grinder and don't need one. I would likely get a second one to take care of the coffee beans, just to make sure the “lingering” spice flavor doesn’t A nice design built to last. It's pretty cool when the "inner lid" serves as the milling bowl and the "outer lid" serves as a power button, without the outer lid getting stuck in things. All I need to do is wipe it clean with a moist It is very convenient that the power cord can be detached so it can be moved.
There is a lot I love about it, but two things I like most are its compact design and the cap that keeps the grounds from spilling out. That clear plastic lid beneath the larger lid, as well as the fact that it works very well, is a brilliant detail.
It's also easy to use, and it looks good. Due to some reason, it has a detachable cord. In my opinion, this is not necessary, however you can store the cord in the machine if the cord is plugged in. Smaller grinding bin, so the machine is grinding more frequently. Likewise, grinding your coffee doesn't pose a problem if you do it every day. There is no easy way to see into the grinding bin when it is being used- Since we have to go by the sound and it is easier to over/under grind due to this, we will have to go by the sound. The grind isn't something I am extremely fussy about, so it has little effect on me, but baristas may have a problem with it.
In order to make my own hot pepper powder, I dry my own habaneros and ghost peppers in my dehydrator. This grinder is very convenient for that.
It can grind a lot of herbs/spices, too. Each of them has been a pleasure for me There are just too many things I cannot do with my hands. Especially if you suffer from hand trouble like me, I recommend it!.
It isn't too loud, either, which is nice even though I mostly use it to fill reusable kcups. It has plenty of capacity and isn't a big noise maker. Everything seems to be going smoothly.
So far, it has been a great six Each time the lid comes off, there is a plastic or rubber band around it. The only problem is that Definitely a good thing!.
You are getting the best bang for your buck. Just as described.
