I got this for my husband and he really likes it. We expected exactly what we got.
In the instructions it says that you should not keep the grind button pressed for more than 30 seconds at a time, but I grind my coffee to a fine powder in about half the time. This machine is very fast at grinding beans and about five My only complaint would be that sometimes getting the grounds out can be a hassle because the provided spoon doesn't get into there just right, so you have to move the blades and tap on the side to get the grounds out. There is no big problem with it, however.
The grinders I've had were smaller and less powerful, but I've never seen one This device has 150 watts of power to handle the job and has a sturdy feel to it as well. All the stores were out of whole cloves, so the first thing I ground was them. It took them less than a minute and a half to powder as good as any you could buy and they smelled fresher and stronger than any that you can buy. The grinder has also been used to grind allspice and roast fenugreek, which have both turned out well. This looks like it will be able to handle.
In order to prevent the need to continuously clean between grinding coffee and herbs, I got this grinder for mainly using for supplements and herbs. Testing it out with flax seed, which can sometimes clog up a grinder, was very impressive. Despite being so small, he did a great job grinding the weeds It would be great if the cap were higher, but is just my only complaint Obviously, if you grind too much everything at once, it will get messy.
