It's basically the same as the Professional 750 I had a few years ago, and I bought it as a gift thinking it would be similar. The first thing to mention is I probably would buy it again, given that it costs almost 50% of the Professional 750 (new) and looks and feels much cheaper than that model. So far I can state that it is only the feel and look of it, that the functionality or use of it is the same (and that is the reason why I would buy it again), and that the controls knobs and overall construction feel The plastics are The list goes on. The list goes on. So that's it. There are a few minor caveats to the performance, including the fact that it feels and looks cheaper. There is a 50% reduction in price. Someone told me I had to get a Vitamix blender from a friend of mine. As I mentioned above, I already have a Blendtec (you know, how to blend it? Do you have any videos? This is coming from the woman who teases me for having more coffee makers in my home than members of my family. In truth, I have always wondered why she kept on insisting that I order one, but I have never been able to grasp her reasoning, and I have not yet ordered As soon as I saw this, I grabbed it, and I can tell you there is For blenders, Blendtec is absolutely wonderful because it blends together things that can never be blended together otherwise. It is easier to blend with a Vitamix blender. A sharper blade has been used. There is a blunter blade on the Blendtec. The Vitamix, while excellent at breaking things down, beats out the Blendtec when it comes to making juices, smoothies, and soups that are very smooth. As a bonus, the sharper blades in the Vitamix make it better at chopping food. It has blunt blades that do not chop as well as the Blendtec. For any people who are unsure whether to choose one over the other or who wonder why they may need both, this is for them. Let's see what this blender is like, in case you just want to know if it's worth buying. I think it's not just a good blender, but an excellent blender as well. The only warning I can give you is if you are used to blenders that are cheaper, with weaker motors ($100 or under), this one is going to be very loud indeed.
