In the mid-nineties, I paid around twenty bucks for a department store blender that finally failed after a decade and a half. Based on the number of companies ranking it highly in their 2017 blender reviews, I figured it would be a great replacement. It should have been obvious that I shouldn't have spent over one hundred dollars on a KitchenAid blender after I had bad luck with another KitchenAid product. After considering it for a while, I bought the Diamond Blender by KitchenAid in July 2017. In a mere four months, I've got a paperweight as my only possession. Usually we make a shake with the blender or puree some berries a few times a week. Our old cheapie didn't continue to function for years with the workload that our new one should have for daily use or blending anything that should put a lot of strain on it. We had some problems last week with the blender when, as we were blending fruit to make a puree for fruit leather, the motor began smoking. It was certainly not feasible to mix something like that for thirty seconds or more and overheat. When it was outside, I put the blender out of harm's way in case it was a fire hazard, and then brought it back inside an hour or so later to see if there was a thermal protection reset. It wasn't meant to be. Despite my efforts to contact KitchenAid, I have not received a response after a week. Hopefully, I'll be able to update this review after I've concluded my negotiations with them. While I still have to review it, I'm giving it a one It does not deserve a 5-star rating, because I will not buy anything else with the KitchenAid name.

Buy this product and do not use it! KSB157OB 5-inch Kitchen Aid Model Blend with high speed with the I have ever used a product like this! I urge you not to purchase! As well as using the blender for smoothies, salsa making, and general daily kitchen chores, I use it for other purposes, too

Plastic gear (who thought that a plastic gear on a high speed blender would be an excellent and it wasn't catching properly when Returning for the first time. We are pleased to announce the arrival of A cream sauce was being made when the burner burned up and it shut down. From now on. I have returned a second time.

On arrival of the third unit, it only had a broken piece of something rattling around inside its As well, I put it back in the box and am returning it. I was treated like I was lying by Kitchenaid customer service when the motor on unit #2 was burning up. It has been about 2 months since I bought it. In addition, the return process is frustrating me to no end! You will not just receive an email with a return label. In order for the third unit to be returned, I must wait for the second unit to reach them, call again, and get another unit sent out. The FedEx company owes me mileage to and from the FedEx facility! I recommend that you do not buy this product! Don't waste your money on a budget blender, get a high-end one instead. In the near future, I will receive a Vitamix.

In comparison, the Kitchenaid Diamond Blender (1575) and the Classic Blender I am sure the Diamond will win! When reading the reviews on Amazon, I couldn't decide between the Diamond and Classic models of the Kitchenaid blender
5/5

It had the same sound features and the same motor and watt size, but the Classic had a smaller carafe at the lower price point. November at Tuesday Morning had both models for the same price, but the Classic had a smaller Of course, I wished for that as well. It was such a good idea that I bought both to compare them. I definitely feel that the Diamond is stronger. With the Diamond, the carafe locks into place and fits securely, whereas with the Classic, it does not. To test out the results, I made three different types of fruit smoothies using the same ingredients. The Classic made me feel like I needed to steadie the machine by placing my hand on the lid while it was blending on the highest setting. This resulted in the machine being quieter and more stable. It seemed that the sound and steadiness of the Diamond were unchanged when I placed my hand on it to do the same thing. It almost felt like there was an error when it came to the Classic's lid. It was difficult to put in place and I have no problems with the Diamond lid, it fits nicely.

Both blenders blended the smoothies exactly the same, so there was no differences It is surprising how large the Classic base (red) is. In comparison with the Diamond (gray), it is smaller and more refined in appearance. I prefer the controls on Diamond because the pulse and crush are similar and there are 5 speeds. As such, we are bringing back the Classic regardless of the cool 2nd carafe, and retaining the Diamond as it is.

Is very effective at crushing ice
3/5

I say, however. The blender has a strong motor that crushes ice well, but it's extremely large and heavy, and the top is quite ungainly to put on and take off. Hence, while it does the job, I will probably get something smaller next time. This is especially true if we just use it for smoothies in the morning. Upon use, there is also a fine mist of black grease on the bottom part, which I hope will stop after a few days since it's been only a few days since we got it.
Yes, now that I've used this blender for a couple of weeks, I still have the black grease and despite its ability to crush ice very well, I still find it a bit awkward to operate. I've had this blender for two months now, and I still have the black grease but now it is smeared on the bottom and the base. In addition, three quarters of the way through mixing the motor starts racing and the blending stops. I have found the "good" reviews much more prominently displayed than the "bad" ones. I would not buy another product from Kitchen Aid. I suppose they have to keep selling this if they want to keep selling it.
