If you like The little rubber plug on my Presto pressure cooker had been leaking steam for quite some time. I love this cooker, but recently it started leaking a little So, I am not surprised at all to use one of these pressure cookers so often. It is very easy to replace the plug, as I show in my video It's simple-- just pop out the old one, if it's still there (mine blew out when I stuck a chopstick in it), and then slide in the new one from the bottom. All of a sudden, it makes sense. I used my pressure cooker just a few minutes after replacing the plug, and it worked fine. Please note that before putting a ring and a plug into place, it used to be recommended that you oil them. As a rule, Presto does not recommend such practices. Right out of the box, the plug and ring will simply snap into place. The only wish I'd like to see is that you can buy the plugs if you need them, but I was glad to find this seal replacement plug set Please keep reading.

The gasket and plug were both new and the description was accurate. This gasket is bound up in a sealed bag but will come in a sealed bag. Therefore, make sure you wash the gasket before using it to get the cutting oil off. Once the gasket has been washed, put it inside the lid of the pressure cooker and allow it to expand and relax. Next, rinse again in hot water and then secure the lid to the pot and let it sit for After this, I washed the gasket again with hot water and reset the gasket in the lid, and everything worked perfectly again. You may not have to follow all of these steps, but since it comes in a small bag, you have to get this round rubber gasket to go back to its round shape, and I did not want to wait, so I followed the above instructions and it works just fine without any issues. This replacement pressure plug was purchased after losing the pressure plug for my Presto model 0128206. Although I was aware that I needed to replace the seal, its original seal was not sealing and it was no longer cooking as well as it used to. Though the seal itself had lasted for years, over time it became harder and less pliable with the passage of time as it dried. Although this ring works for this cooker as well, it is unclear why it is not mentioned in the page description. Inside the box, there are installation instructions that are fairly easy to follow. There are no major differences in quality between the new seal ring and the old one, but the older one may seem a little thicker, but that could be due to its age and being stiffer and harder with age. It is perfectly safe to use both the pressure plug and the ring on This new pressure cooker with a new seal seals well and cooks faster than anything else I've ever tried. It seems to work as well as when it was new, as it did when it was original. I will update my review as soon as I discover any issues with the replacement. I would rate it 4 stars if it works for a long time.

The pressure cooker I was using previously was replaced by this one. The seal was behaving strangely, in that I had to open and close it several times to really click and seal it. The fix worked like magic after I tested it. I was not sure it was the problem, but I gave it a try. Now that we've been working for three months, we're still working.

As a result, I felt a lot better I did this to bring my old pressure cooker back to life. Although it is just a simple seal, it makes a lot of difference, especially when my original seal no longer retained a seal and started leaking. From a friend we received a pressure cooker that had been sitting in his cupboard for a long time, but had not been used I found that the gasket had a couple of cracks and was dry. It was a pleasant surprise to discover I could order a new one online and have it delivered Two days later, we received the gasket, and we used it to cook our first meal with the pressure cooker that same day. Since then, we have been cooking in it quite a bit. Any time the gasket appears to be worn or dry, I would recommend replacing it. The money we spent on it was worth every penny.

I was able to make my "old" pressure cooker look as good as new with this sealing ring. I had no trouble getting my husband to install the ring and the plug. It's time for the old gal to get back to work. I appreciate it.
