As I went to use it, I realized I had forgotten to put a plastic float in. The seller is a great find, I had no idea I could buy replacements, but I searched just in case. I am back to using my Instant Pot as described, but now I am not sure if it will do what I had hoped.

There was a gasket on the top of my instant pot duo 6 quart that was not sealing on its own. I am now able to seal well. I'm pleased with my performance so far.

It was only after I lost the gasket for the original float valve that I realized this part might need to be replaced. I had been having trouble holding pressure on my 6 qt IP Ultra for about a month. Now that the gasket has been replaced, everything is working perfectly.
