I looked at the old valve next to the new valve exactly the same way I did when I took it out. As well as working well, I find them to be very good. Since things were taking longer to cook than I thought they should, I was concerned there was a leak. There was a change in the valve that appeared to fix the problem. The silicon sealing ring on the inside may have been the culprit. There is nothing to complain about. Besides the good product, they send two valves made of metal and four rings of silicone for filling. This will be a big Tips for preventing extra parts from being lost.
Amazon is an excellent place to find replacements. The replacement part was quickly delivered and I am glad to have found it. The 3 QT Instant Pot Lux-like device came with no issues when it came to installation. We cannot tell the difference between the OEM and aftermarket parts. We are 100% satisfied with the price and product.
A replacement is nice to have on hand in case one is needed.
The valve in the garbage disposal had been ruined, so I had to buy a new one. I was surprised at how quickly this arrived and how perfect the fit was. You'd be better off buying a new lid.
In my experience, Instant Pot did not have replacement parts on their web site. However, the pieces arrived when they said they would. Small items like this are best delivered via USPS in a padded envelope, which is how they arrived, which is how I think small items like this are best delivered. A new piece fit perfectly after I just needed to replace the rubber end. There are no concerns on this purchase, so go for it!.
This is still an excellent value I just set the extra pieces aside in case I'll need them in the future.
