A few years ago, I lost my original stem during a move. Following the initial purchase, I bought a replacement that did not fit properly and was frustrating to operate. In the past few weeks I have been cooking a lot more so I decided to investigate if there was a better alternative. I think this is perfect. Those that cost a little less do not deserve your attention. Although they look the same, they are completely different! My Cuisinart discs were infuriating and I used to be frustrated with them. This is such a small item that has now been replaced. This replacement stem is so great to have found.
