There is enough room for the DLC2009CHB 9 cup processor, both disks and paddle fit, and there is even room for a third disk. The fact that it had a locking feature to prevent being cut was great! The product is great and I'm very happy with it
It is true. You can use it to hold any blades or discs with detachable stems. There are newer machines that have the stem built onto the disc, which cannot be held by this machine.
Definitely, that is a perfect use for it. It cost me that much when I bought mine. It even has a second blade for cutting and a dough blade for making bread.
Discs with adjustable cutting height will not fit

Although the parts are arranged well, it is surprising that the bottom of the case is open. The blade discs are seated in slots on the bottom of the case. What is the purpose of the latch to protect the lid from being opened under the lid?.
I am upset to learn that Cuisinart makes poor quality products for the home chef, which explains my dismay.
There is one additional disc slot, but it would be nice if it could hold maybe one more extra disc and perhaps a In any case, this works for what I am using at the moment. There is only one thing I dislike about this model the bottom is As a result, while the cover locks shut to keep everything inside the case, if you pick the case up, such as to carry it or allow your child to grab it, the lower portion of the slots where the discs go is completely exposed to the cutting blade on each disc.
Regardless of whether or not the discs overlap, I prefer something flatter. As far as what it does, it is a huge waste of counter or shelf space. The display looks like it's cheap as well. It's hard to beat the convenience of this holder if you have plenty of free space, but I am currently looking into alternative methods. As well, it doesn't really lock down anything either. There is no reason for the blades to fall out when moving the holder, but it is not unusual for them to come out and place themselves against the lid.
What the heck, the bottom is on display! with one of these as a kid so I know how sharp they can be! It was for my kids, since I have two and do not intend to leave these blades exposed. I bought this holder with the intention of sticking it in a cupboard as I don't have a large kitchen. Well, in order to grab it down, I need to grab it, but the entire underside is OPEN with the blades showing. As a result, unless you keep it on your counter or have it in your cupboard and only open the locking front to get at the blades, every time you grab it you're going to slash yourself to death. There's still no way this can be safe, no matter which nincompoop designed it. It is absolutely possible to insert or slip fingers While I will keep it since it's safer than nothing, it's important to note that it is not a full proof barrier.
Regardless of how most expensive this device is for a carrying holder that houses food processor blades, this item is absolutely indispensable if you use this sort of sharp equipment in the I was keeping the blades and disks on a shelf and poked myself with one of them (not too bad thankfully), but I realized that it was important that I lock it in a case so I would not injure myself further. Please do yourself a favor and don't make the same mistake as I did by sending the $27 this cost you Since it could easily hold all these accessories, you will find later on that you will be happy you were able to purchase it. It is extremely important to be careful with these blades, as they are incredibly I hope you have a great time shopping.
As I looked at it, I was glad to see it organized the pieces well. Once I had the loaded holder in my hand, I went to pick it up. Sharp blades are exposed on the bottom of the holder because the base has no It's now a case of careful handling when I take it out of the cabinet. Try not to hold it on the bottom (grab it by its They really didn't pay attention to not adding a bottom piece to this and letting the surgical-type screws stick out The blades of the blades are A piece of plastic across the bottom could probably have been affixed free of charge at the bottom of the pile.
It is astounding to realize that the blades that came with my Cuisinart FB-16 are inadequate Blade and disc holders for Cuisinart do not fit 12 discs. It is noted in the instructions that discs with fixed stems are not compatible. I see what you mean! There is a fixed stem on the slicing blade that comes as part of the package. A warning should be displayed on the listing page, why not? When Cuisinart made stems an integral part of their standard blades, why didn't they figure out they needed to update the holder for that blade? It was disappointing.
