Overall, I am pleased with my purchase of this carafe. Advantages: br>br> It keeps hot beverages hot for a long time. I haven't put it through its paces, but I have left coffee in it for several hours and returned to find it still warm. I like the look (even if it does have a "small town diner" feel to it). br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. Cleaning can be a chore. The lid contains a large number of small parts that must be disassembled in order to clean thoroughly. There are clear instructions for disassembly, and it's fairly simple, but it's a lot of steps to go through for something I use on a daily basis. Pouring the final few inches necessitates completely turning the carafe upside down, and even then, not all of the liquid escapes. I haven't discovered a way to empty the carafe completely without removing the lid.
Zojirushi was always a favorite of mine. Many of their electrical and non-electrical products are in use at our facility. products made of electricity This carafe was purchased to replace a smaller Zojirushi Stainless Steel Vacuum Carafe SH-100. After a little more than three years, the HB/15 stopped keeping the water hot. I got this in early September, and after a month, we noticed that the outside is warm to the touch, and it no longer keeps water hot. again. I'm disappointed that it stopped working after a month of normal use, and the product's quality isn't as good as it used to be (I'm not sure if it's because it's now made in China instead of Japan, and the QA standards are different, or if I just got a lemon). br>br>In terms of customer service, I reached out to them when my SH- Because it was still under warranty, HB/15 began to have issues with keeping water hot and warm to touch on the outside. The entire conversation took place over the internet. Customer service requested pictures of any physical damage to the carafe. There were a few scratches on the bottom, but that was the extent of it; it was simply normal wear and tear. Because you pick it up and place it down the counter on a regular basis, scratches on the bottom were unavoidable. After some prodding, the rep agreed to issue an RMA, but only if I pack and mail it back for them to inspect. I'm fine with that, but there's no guarantee that they'll honor the warranty and send me a replacement or a working one. Given the cost of shipping and packing materials (to ensure it is not damaged during transit) as well as the possibility of not receiving one, I decided to pay a little more and buy a new one instead. I saw this larger version and decided to go for it, especially because the bottom is covered in plastic. It did not work out, unfortunately.
Abs will constantly refill my mug with hot water because I enjoy drinking tea (loose tea in a cup) throughout the day. My water stays warm all day in this thermos. It usually only needs to be filled once, and it will last me several hours (depending on how much I drink). I use an electric Zojirushi water boiler to fill this thermos, and the height is just right for it to fit underneath my boiler. The thermos is well-built, and the lid is simple to operate. It hasn't been difficult to clean (though I only use hot water). Pouring is simple and there are no drips. This thermos is a surefire winner.
We brew directly into this with a hario 2 cone. Keeps coffee hot for at least 10 hours, but most people drink it sooner. It's simple to use, keep clean, and it's super cute! However, you must pour vertically, and it may appear heavy at first when full. It does, however, have a very nice grip. Overall, I'd recommend it!.
Re- After rinsing it in the morning, I used it to make a fresh pot of pour over coffee. br>br>It wasn't just the flavor that was off - it was also the consistency. I felt like I was drinking something unhealthy because of the flavor. I retasted the coffee after removing the spout and transferring the contents directly from the urn, and it had the same strange, acrid, chemical taste. I made a new pot in a different vessel, and the coffee tasted fine. br>br>The problem wasn't with the coffee, water, or method I used to make the coffee - it was with the spout. It's the Zojirushi SH- that's causing the issue. Vacuum Carafe in Stainless Steel RA15XA This unit will be returned to me. br>br>.
I found exactly what I needed. It holds about 4 cups of water and keeps it hot for hours; the flow from the spout is a little less than I expected, but it's fine, and it's a lot better than the travel mug I was using before I bought this. I would purchase this item again.
only to be used with black coffee, and only to be used before the coffee is brewed. filled with extremely hot but not boiling water, pours easily, and stays warm for 1 hour 2 hours in a cold room, wide mouth interior that is easy to clean, attractive dark blue color, and weighted for stability update: pre- filled with boiling water, kept coffee hot in a cool room for almost three hours, more than enough to meet my caffeine requirements!.
These carafes are used to keep tea warm after it has been brewed. Two of the ones we'd been using for a long time had finally given up the ghost - The pouring mechanism had finally given up the ghost. That particular model was out of stock. This one is a little more expensive, but the quality is far superior. br>br>The lid and pouring mechanism have been greatly improved, and the tea stays warm for several hours. This book comes highly recommended.
