Questions & Answers

How many cups of coffee does it hold on average?

Bunn sent me two airpots, the larger of which is number three. The one holds 20 cups in the 8L and the other 12 cups in the 12L. Using a 10-cup measuring cup, measure out 13 cups. coffee maker with a cup capacity It will keep it warm for at least two hours. We only keep our brew for 1 hour and 5 minutes.

Is this something you can take with you? My son competes in races, and I'm looking for a bag that won't leak while driving to the event. ?

I take mine to work every day and it has never leaked. I did, however, place it in the back seat and secure it with the seat belt, so I'm not sure if it would leak if it fell over. Mine is my absolute favorite.

Before I used it for the first time, I disassembled it to clean it. It takes about 50 pumps to fill the cup after it's been filled. Is it normal for it to be slow, or is there a problem?

Scott - I'm not sure what you did, but when I first got it, I simply filled it with soapy water, poured it out, and rinsed it. I then filled it with coffee for a men's prayer breakfast, which worked out perfectly. 2 pumps and an 8-10 ounce bottle A cup of coffee was placed in front of me. For me- It receives a ten out of ten score from me. You should return yours and request a replacement, claiming a problem.

Bunn is one of my favorite designers, but the pots he uses are all far too big. Is there any one? 5 - Is it possible to get 2 liters of liquid with a lever action? It's for personal use, and 3 liters is far too much. ?

I'm at a loss for words! Ours is used at work. It's the one with the 3 liters! Go to Bunn's website for more information. Check out what they have to offer!

I've worked with these for over 11 years
5/5

As of August 31st, 2018, I have owned and operated my small coffee shop/café for nearly 11 years. These are the only air-conditioning units I've ever owned. Pots are my saviors. I've tried other kinds or types on several occasions, usually due to cost, but each time I've been utterly disappointed by the others, I've gone back to ordering these. They will keep your coffee piping hot for hours if properly 'charged' (left with hot water in them for at least an hour, if not overnight) at the start of the day. the result of a burner The only disadvantage is that If you hit one with a lot of force or impact (counter, sink divider, etc), the seal between the insulating core and the inner carafe breaks down, and they can't hold the heat as well as they can when they're in good working order. They (the seals between the ins. ) are also something I believe in. Like most things, the core and carafe) will eventually break down with age and use. Because they are double walled stainless steel rather than glass lined, I still prefer them to many other air pots. Even with this minor complication (sensitivity to jarring), I usually get a 2-. Each of the ones I've bought has given me three years' worth of service (if not more). There were a few air-conditioning units. Pots that were damaged by a particularly clumsy employee (or myself) and had to be retired earlier than expected, but this was not due to the product itself, but rather to the person handling it. br>br>A few additional thoughts: 1) If you order one, I strongly advise you to test it as soon as it arrives to ensure it was not damaged during shipping. When you fill these up to 'charge,' there should be no heat on the outside of the air-conditioning unit. pot. If this is the case, the airpot has been damaged and should be replaced or returned. This has only happened to me once, and it was because I did not accept delivery of this particular air-conditioning unit. pot, but rather a newer employee of mine did (and didn't know to test the airpot at first), the damage went unnoticed until I was no longer able to return it for replacement, so I had to eat that one, and they aren't cheap. br>2) As a small business owner, you're constantly surprised by "incidentals" that you can't predict. When it comes time to replace an old air conditioner, there are a few things to keep in mind. Keep the inner straw and spout, as well as the lid (which has the air-tight seal), in the pot. bladder/pump). Because these items are typically exposed to high heat on a regular basis, some parts become brittle over time and eventually fail. When a small plastic tab breaks off or cracks, having some extra parts on hand comes in handy. Even if you aren't particularly 'handy,' it would only take a few minutes to figure out how to replace a few small parts rather than spending another $40-$50. An entirely new assembly will set you back $50 plus shipping. Even if you'd rather order a completely new assembly, you can patch things together until the new one arrives.

Caution- Amazon sells filthy, unsanitary kitchen products
3/5

VERY let down. as well as surprised Due to Amazon's poor quality control, this order was not filled. If the item is sold at a discount, I have no qualms about purchasing damaged but still usable items. This Bunn Airpot was advertised exactly as it was. I'm furious that the pot was used and then resold in such a filthy and unsanitary condition. Photos show that this is the case. The previous owner's label can be seen in image (A). The dirty/stained pump tube is shown in image (B). The interior calcium deposits in image (C) have clearly built up over time.

Despite a dent from inadequate packaging, it functions well
5/5

Except for the packaging, I am pleased with the airpot. I gave the packaging a separate review because it was so poor. The pot arrived in a thin plastic bag inside a corrugated box, and I knew the pot would be dented even before I opened the box - it was. I don't mind if there's a small dent as long as it doesn't affect performance, which I confirmed by filling the airpot with boiling water for three days in a row. The following are the averaged results: After that. br>br> hours Temperature (F)0 204 (I live at a high altitude)br>1. 11 3 191br>3 191br>3 191br>3 191br>3 191br>3 191br> 5 121br>br>While the results were slightly better when the pot was completely full to begin with, it also worked when only half-filled. br>br>Included in the package is a manual as well as cleaning instructions. The cleaning instructions are difficult to comprehend. "To completely remove the lid, press the lid detach button," they say. " Only lid release buttons are shown in the manual, no lid detach button. " The bellow cap, bellows, and bellow cap plate are also supposed to be removed, but they're all part of the lid, which doesn't seem to open. br>br>However, because I only use the airpot to hold boiling water from a reverse osmosis source, there should be no need to clean it. br>br>I'll keep an eye on the airpot to see if the insulating properties deteriorate over time, as some others have suggested.

It has a lot of storage space, is easy to transport, and is simple to clean
5/5

It holds a little more than 100 ounces (12 ounces). If each cup is 8 oz, you'll need 5 cups. br>br>At church and for my nonprofit, I use this to make hot coffee and tea. It kept liquids hot for three hours straight! br>br>I also tested it with iced tea on the spur of the moment, and it had the same amount of insulation properties. It cleans up extremely quickly, which I appreciate.

It'll keep you warm for days, but it'll spill (be prepared if you're traveling!)
4/5

For a two-day potluck, I kept cocoa hot. I deducted a star because it tipped over on the way and spilled hot cocoa all over my floorboards. It never occurred to me that it would easily pour out without the vacuum pump (due to my lack of fluid dynamics knowledge), but it would be nice to have a plug or something to prevent this in the future.

I'm very impressed with this carafe because it keeps its temperature for a long time
5/5

I was sold after reading the reviews and watching the videos, but I still had one question: how long does it keep liquids hot for? I started by boiling enough water to completely fill the carafe, then I poured some into a mug. My instant-read device gave me a reading. The temperature on the thermometer that was read was 167 degrees Fahrenheit. 170 The reading stayed at 167 after an hour. There has been no change in the temperature. It was still 165-degrees four hours later. I filled the container with water and left it there overnight. I pumped more water and measured the temperature this morning (13 1/2 hours after starting). The reading came in at 158. That is still too hot to drink at that temperature. This carafe is truly remarkable!br>br>The ease of use has been described by others. Raising the pump lever and dispensing liquid is actually a lot of fun. When you've finished dispensing, there are no drips.
