The bottle's interior is metal, while the top, as seen in the photo, is made of plastic, and the cap, like the top, is made of plastic with a silicone seal.
It does not maintain the temperature of the coffee. I needed something to keep the coffee as hot as it had been when it was brewed. This br>kept it warm rather than hot, so I returned it. However, it does appear to be lovely!
The lid can be completely unscrewed and cleaned, reducing the thermos to two parts in total, but that is the extent of its dismantling.
It comes apart in a screw. Mine is currently packed away, but you can easily remove it by turning the lid to the left or right.

Originally purchased because my wife is the type of person who drinks hot coffee all day, every day, even in the summer! We set our coffee maker's timer for 6 a. m. , so that I could leave for work. After I make my coffee, I pour it into the carafe, and if there's any left over, it's still piping hot when I get home in the evening! We even forgot to empty it one night, and the coffee was still warm the next morning, albeit not scorching hot! I'm very pleased with this little find, and the low price is a big plus!.
However, my doctor recently advised me to reduce my caffeine intake, so I decided to use this carafe exclusively for decaf coffee. I usually finish my coffee by 9 a. m. , so I only needed it to stay hot for a few hours. For the first few days, I didn't pour out the leftover coffee to see how long it would stay hot. The next morning, I was surprised to find the coffee still warm! It was a pleasant surprise for me. Don't get too caught up in the details of the lid. It twists on and off and does not have to go in a specific direction; simply turn it until the desired position is reached. A fantastic purchase at a fantastic price!.

I assumed that a thermal pot would be the best solution, and I was correct - My coffee stays hot for the entire day in this mug. It's not scalding hot, but it's warm enough to drink. I have stone counter tops, and I can tell it won't work as well in the winter, but preheating the pot with hot water for a few minutes should help. br> In terms of cleaning, it's a piece of cake. br>The only issue I've noticed is that it's heavy in one hand, and I'm a 50-year-old woman of average size and strength. To pour, hold the handle and use your thumb to press the spout lever; everything is within easy reach, but the center of gravity is lower for better weight distribution. I usually use two hands if the pot is full. br>Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others.

The carafe is well-made and attractive, but if I start a pot at 6 a. m. , it will be below room temperature by 10 a. m. It does not keep liquids hot for the amount of time it claims. It was a letdown.
I liked that it had a wide mouth (so I could put ice in it) and a sleek design. I don't keep my coffee in it all day, but it does keep it warm for a few hours, but there are two things I don't like about it: To begin with, pouring a cup from this small pot takes a long time due to its wide mouth. The lid itself is quite tiny! I find it amusing, but it irritates me. Second, because of the "sleek design," I have to remove the lid to pour out the contents of the pot from the bottom; otherwise, it dribbles down the top and all over the place. I'm talking about the last two ounces again, but it irritates me. Things should be straightforward and simple to operate. This isn't the most user-friendly option.
