Even though there was a large orange FRAGILE sticker with broken glass on it, the box was not in good shape (4/10) when I found it on the doorstep delivered by UPS. It's not a large box. The FRAGILE sticker is impossible to miss. I was thinking to myself, "Oh no, now I have to deal with a return. " It was very well packaged when I opened it. They were in another box, wrapped in bubble wrap, and when I opened it, expecting the worst, they were separated and individually wrapped in corrugated wrap. I'm not saying they'd survive a 20-story drop, but they did make it through UPS. br>br>After an initial inspection, I noticed that the corn cob texture on the inside did not go side to side lengthwise, and I assumed it was a bad mold, so I logged in and examined the magnified photos, which confirmed my suspicions. It was most likely done on purpose. Both came off easily, with two stickers on each, one small Pfaltzgraff on the bottom and one bar code on the side. br>br>I haven't had the opportunity to use them yet because I only received them today, but any corn cob holder will suffice. I'll admit that I bought them for the name, but because they're made of stoneware, I plan to warm them in the oven to keep the butter melted and the corn warm. I'm looking forward to breaking them in. br>br>.
a large ear of corn is held in the hand You will receive exactly what you see. This is a beautiful, well-crafted piece. A well-made product that gets the job done. Our old plastic corn plates had reached the end of their usefulness. Yes, they did a good job of serving us, but they were a little campy and couldn't hold a large ear of corn. These plates are stunning and will comfortably accommodate a large ear. They were securely packed in a box with plenty of padding. When they arrived, there was nothing out of the ordinary.
After years of using the plastic version of similar items, I decided to upgrade my tableware. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. My granddaughter enjoys putting her cucumber pickles in them because they are extremely durable, clean up easily, and look great afterward. This item is extremely adaptable and can be used in a variety of situations. I was so taken aback that I purchased two more sets, with a third on the way.
These are a high-quality product with enough room in the bottom for melted butter to melt while the corn is resting. The corn holders have a convenient place to rest outside while in the dish, which is a nice feature of these dishes. This purchase has made me extremely happy.
Three of the four butter dishes in each of the two boxes were broken when I received them. Falsgraf immediately notified me that the three would be replaced and the remaining three would be discarded. Your promptness is greatly appreciated.
These corn dishes were purchased as gifts for two people. Those who have received them have expressed their gratitude in all reports and personal observations. I've had the opportunity to use one while dining, and I can confidently say that they're excellent for serving corn on the cob. To enhance the experience, I would suggest corn skewers and butter (seasoned with salt and pepper). There's nothing like good old-fashioned cooking.
These precious little ones are truly priceless. I bought them for my husband and in the hopes that they would remind my son of his childhood love of corn. Those expectations were, understandably, naive. Allow me to share some information with you, gentlemen. Not only did he recall and declare corn to be his new favorite food, but they also cast a magical spell on my daughter. Because she felt left out because everyone else had one, she ASKED ON HER OWN if she could try some corn as well. *GASP* Yes, baby, you can do whatever you want! After that, Please hold on to your seats. She. Ate. The. Whole. Thing. I KNOW! To summarize, these sweet, sweet dishes are both a parent's savior and extremely adorable. Five out of five stars, and I strongly advise you to try it.
There was no harm done. It has a lovely appearance. I'm sorry I wasted so many years with those cheap, flimsy, yellow things when I could have had these all along. These corn-based dishes are fantastic!.
