Questions & Answers

Is this going to pass security at the airport?

The tines aren't pointed or sharp enough to be considered a deadly weapon, unlike knitting needles or embroidery scissors.

I'm curious about the origins of this spork. ?

It's up to you. I purchased a grey one from HW Suppliers, and it is unmistakably fake, not titanium, and not made in Japan. I sent it back and requested a refund. Titanium is a metal that is both rigid and light. If you can bend it with little effort, it's a good sign. It isn't made of titanium at all. So, beware of the buyers!

What factory did this come from?

It is up to your shipper to determine this. The genuine item is manufactured in Japan. Buying from HW Suppliers, on the other hand, will result in a fake product; how can you tell the difference? The fake product will be matte, leave a strange watermark, smell metallic (from the coating), bend easily, and have poor craftsmanship. Titanium is rigid, lightweight, and has a dull shine; the fake product will be matte, leave a strange watermark, smell metallic (from the coating), bend easily, and have poor craftsmanship. The spork's edges will show signs of machining and bending, as an example of the latter. The embossed print will be uneven on the back, and the letters will be poorly designed. The following is a basic test: Is it possible to bend it using only your fingers? If that's the case, it's made of aluminum. If you live in the United States, I'm not sure why you'd buy from this site; I seriously doubt that any of the products on it are genuine. If you go back through the reviews, you'll notice some discoloration that raises red flags. In Japan, Snow Peak is a high-end brand. There will be no quality issues; I contacted Snow Peak USA, who acknowledged and noted my concerns. Hopefully, they will be able to take action. By the way, this means that neither Snow Peak USA nor Snow Peak Japan is in charge of this Amazon site. It's worth considering.

Is it something to do with the heat? resolute?

Due to the fact that this is a titanium product, it should be relatively heat resistant.

I've tried them all, and this is the best titanium spork I've ever used
5/5

So far, the titanium spork is the best I've seen. I've had each and every one of them. I've tried Light My Fire (which is overrated and not ergonomic, especially on the fork side). Vargo is a decent Chinese product that I've tried. Primus was a disappointment to me (flimsy, inconsistent, and poorly designed). I've had Toaks (decent but scratches everything it touches, how about rounding out those edges a bit? ), and I've had Optimus (just ok, a little rough, come on Sweden). I've had the Sea to Summit Alpha Light anodized aluminum (bumpy, unfinished) for a while now. a negative sensation I'm not interested in eating aluminum), and now there's the Snow Peak to contend with. It is a Japanese product. Titanium of exceptional quality. Salads are easier to eat when the tines are longer and more recessed. Soup and other spoon primary foods can also be eaten easily in the large bowl. br>In order to save weight, most other brands have a lot of holes in the shaft. When I'm camping, this irritates me because food, dirt, and grime get stuck in the holes, making cleaning more difficult and wasting more clean water and time. access to resources Because the Snow Peak has a solid shaft, it is the most sanitary and easy to clean of the three. Simplicity is the winner. The primus had a lot of holes, which made cleanup a pain, and some of Vargo's had a couple of (2) holes, which Toaks reduced to one (try again). That doesn't include the Snow Peak's only hole, a small caribiner hole near the top. They appeared to have considered all possibilities. The shaft is a little thinner, but that hasn't been a problem. br>I've had sporks that fold up as well. These are the ones I'd rather avoid. They're not ergonomic, and with small crevices in inconvenient places, they're difficult to keep clean. Furthermore, many of the titanium sporks appear to be mockable and unrespectable in public. The Snow Peak has a certain vibe to it. It appears to be in good shape. It's a small piece of artwork with a distinct Japanese aesthetic. br>The only drawback I've noticed is that it requires you to eat cereal. Because of the recessed tines, it won't hold much milk; the Vargo's were better in this regard. However, thicker liquids, such as soups, should be avoided. Sauces are fine, and I would have preferred a few extra grams for a wider handle, but this is a minor quibble. br>The green is my favorite color because it is so vibrant. Because lighting is often limited when I go camping, I make sure that all of my gear is as bright and visible as possible in the dark. I'd like it if Snow Peak, like Vargo, released a yellow/gold version. Overall, Snow Peak is my favorite titaniumware, with Vargo coming in second and Toaks coming in third. Snow Peak isn't perfect, but it's the closest I've found so far.

Vargo, Toaks, Light My Fire, and Snow Peak are some of the songs that come to mind when I think of Vargo
4/5

Attached is a selection of titanium forks from my collection. Vargo, Toaks, Light My Fire, and two Snow Peaks are pictured from the left to the right. br>br>In general, the ones with the main shape (true Sporks) can be swapped out. The handles are what distinguishes them. The Snow Peak scoop area is slightly larger than the others. I don't think it would make a difference in terms of functionality. The thicker handles have a slight advantage in terms of feel, but it's a minor difference. As a result, it's a 4-star rating. With those, there's a close tie. They're all long and light, and they have the same feel as regular silverware. br>br>The second installment of the Light My Fire series. The combination of a sided spoon and fork is unique. On each end, it has a spoon and a fork, as well as a minimally serrated edge. This allows you to have more spoon and fork space, which is very convenient. However, you lose usable reach because you must grasp it differently, and the shape gives it a different feel than traditional silverware. br>br>Overall, go with your favorite; they're all good and comparable.

A TURNING POINT IN YOUR LIFE! So, as I was eating my meal, I thought to myself, "Corey, this is going to be a messy process
5/5

" Your hands are always filthy and greasy, your fingers are stained from all the sauces you use, and your dog won't leave you alone, licking your hands constantly. "Then I found out about utensils!" My clothes are cleaner, my hands are the same color as the rest of my body, and I don't have any food stuck in my hair any longer. br>THIS THING IS ACTUALLY USEFUL! br>Mastering the moves was a steep learning curve, and you should expect to poke yourself in the face a few times. But believe me when I say it's smooth sailing once you've mastered the moves. I used to bite my fingers when I wasn't paying attention. However, this is no longer the case due to utensils. br>br>Unfortunately, my dog got away from me. She must have decided it was time to move on after all the food had been shoved into my mouth.

It's green, which I like
5/5

I recall being surprised to learn that a titanium spork existed. "Who needs a titanium spork?" I remember thinking. "Then I read a slew of other reviews that started with something like "This is my favorite item," "I don't know what I did without my titanium spork," or simply "I love my titanium spork. " " This piqued my interest, so I began reading spork comparison reviews. The Snow Peak titanium spork seemed to be the one that pleased the most people, and it sounded like it would please me as well. It was also available in an anodized blue finish. I had made up my mind. When I first got it, I immediately put it to use at work, and I discovered that all of the claims were correct. My spork was one of my favorites! It was one of my most cherished possessions! Before my spork, I had no idea what I was doing! I've had mine for a few years and still use it almost every day at work, but I've also given several to my coworkers who have been inducted into "The Order of the Spork. " "br>br>With all of that aside, this is a fantastic product that is ideal for work or camping meals. The bowl is large enough to eat soup with, the tines are long enough to spear food and do some basic noodle twirling, and there are no particularly sharp edges to cut the sides of my mouth. The coating had faded and worn away a little, but the color was still there. I'm still a big fan of it.

Although I gave it five stars, I now use a different method
5/5

Great spork, sturdy, lightweight, high quality, reasonably priced, and from a well-known and respected brand, but it no longer meets my backpacking needs. br>br>This spork might be perfect for you, but I found it to be a little too short for me. I eat the majority of my meals on backpacking trips out of mountain house bags, which any backpacker or camper is familiar with. br>br>I've discovered that no matter how careful I am, I still get food on my fingers, which is a pain when there isn't much water available on the trail. br>br>The spork held up well after multiple trips, but I decided to go with a slightly longer spork from a different manufacturer. br>br>I still use this spork on trips where I won't be eating freeze-dried meals and the extra length isn't required.
