I bought this product because of the deep, rich purple, hand painted swirl design in the advertisement, but it was a printed design, not a hand painted one, when it arrived. It wasn't a rich or deep purple, but rather a pale purple. It was getting close to being a brown color. So ugly. I returned it and went with a different vendor.
I adore them; they're the perfect weight, not too heavy, but not too light that they'll fall apart. br>br>UPDATE These dishes have been in my possession since Christmas, and one of the plates has been chipped. I'm not a slob when it comes to my dishes, but having one chip so soon is a bummer. br>br>Update to the update. I inquired about purchasing a replacement plate from the seller. They provided me with a replacement at no cost to me! Highly, highly, highly recommended!.
I purchased two sets, each with a different color variation, and they are both stunning! In person, it is much better. I really like the color swirl in the middle, where some of the colors are darker and others are more pastel. It was a lot of fun. I'm excited to put it to use because it appears to be very sturdy. To go with them, I found some ramekins that were a similar color.
They're not in keeping with the rest of the ensemble. Apart from the bowls not matching the set, the glazing isn't done well in general; the lines of the glazing aren't as uniform as the photographs suggest, by a long shot. br>There are so many breaks in the glaze of the mugs' interiors that you can see chunks of poorly added or simply missing color or glaze; it's also an entirely different color than any used on the set, neither purple nor black (nor the mysteriously added blue), but rather beige, as if the glaze wasn't mixed before application. br>br>Weird, not at all what I had anticipated. br>I'll keep the set because I don't have any other plans right now. I would not, however, purchase it again.
The plates are brittle and easily break. While washing the dishes, be very careful not to tap them against the sink. Just because the plate tapped a little, I've already broken two plates and a bowl. They shattered into two pieces.
What do you think? I was going to write a long letter, but all I have to say is that these dishes make me want to drive a sportscar between my fancy modern apartment, my mansion with a view of one of those photos your television's screen saver shows you, and my yat. yaght? yaht? Ugh. It'd be a gold-plated speedboat anyway, so forget about it. These are delicious dishes!.
They are very nice; I had one minor issue with them, which I reported to the seller, who promptly resolved it in a very generous and satisfactory manner. This is a company from which I would definitely purchase again.
Our new dishes are a big hit! They're small and light, and they arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Beautiful, gleaming, and color-accurate.
