Dishwasher safe is "rated" on them. However, I would stay away from them. Because of the size of this pitcher, it will be stored in the lower drawer, close to the dishwasher's heating system. It will warp as time passes. I recommend doing the dishes by hand and using the dishwasher on occasion.

Mine occasionally go bad in the back of the fridge. If you're going to do it on purpose, I wouldn't recommend filling them any more than 3/4 full. They're tough, but they'll eventually give way. You should be fine as long as there is room to grow.

They don't have the same snazzy appearance as some of the more curved plastic pitchers on store shelves, but that just makes them more difficult to clean. These items are extremely high-tech. durable plastic that was able to withstand a gallon of tea freezing solid in my broken refrigerator. Not even a smidgeon of a crack appeared. br>br>If you put something like tea or Kool-Aid in there, it will dissolve. If you use aid or whatever in these, don't worry if they get stained. Simply put 3 or 4 heaping tablespoons powdered dishwasher detergent in the bottom of the container, fill to the brim with hot water, and set aside overnight. Depending on the severity of the staining, even an hour may be sufficient. After soaking for a while, it should come right off with a soft sponge. Liquid detergent, on the other hand, is ineffective. br>Both of the ones I received were defective, and I drink a gallon of Crystal Light Peach Iced Tea every day. I made a gallon of it and stored it in the fridge. The lid was stuck when I took it out to pour a glass; it wouldn't turn or lift. I had to pry it out with a butter knife, and the same thing happened with the second pitcher. I asked for a refund or exchange.
br>I ordered five sets and use them to get filtered water at the grocery store to avoid wasting bottles. br>Very long-lasting and dishwasher-safe. br>I gave it one star less because a few lids get stuck from time to time, but it's not a big deal. br>I would order them again in a heartbeat.
Because sugar and drink mixes scratch these pitchers, as do most plastics, these were the placements. (The first set lasted about 5 years, and we're big fans of sweet tea. ) ) Delivered on time. Many are more expensive, but this one is less expensive and more durable. (It's less expensive than other "free delivery" services, and it eliminates the need to visit a congested shopping mall. ).
The pour spot appears to occur before the 1 gallon marker, which is my only complaint. To fully accommodate a 1 gallon volume, the pitcher should be slightly larger. If you try to fill to 1 gallon, you'll lose liquid either while stirring or through overflow out the spout.
If you fill it with water, you must be able to hold a gallon. If you're not sure, go with the 2-pack. version of a quarter.
When the container is this full, there isn't much room for error, so it's easy to spill it if you're not careful. br>I wish there was more headroom, but everything functions properly. br>I've already gotten a lot of ice tea out of it and plan on getting a lot more.
Only with the lid off can you get the full gallon capacity. If you fill it all the way to the gallon line, it will spill out once the lid is on. Furthermore, the lid does not lock tightly and can be easily pulled out.
