Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
High-carbon, stain-resistant German steel is unrivaled in terms of edge retention and rust, corrosion, and discoloration resistance.
For maximum strength and durability, use a one-piece precision forged construction. The handle's full tang runs the length of the handle, providing exceptional balance and strength.
The edge of a knife with a taper-ground edge stays sharper for longer, allowing for finer, more precise chopping and slicing. Due to full blade edge exposure, a shorter bolster provides better balance and easier honing.
Knives should be washed by hand for blade edge and surface care.
The product is NSF certified and comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Selected User Reviews For Mercer Culinary Züm Forged Paring Knife, 3 Inch

Overall, this is an excellent knife; I use it six days a week in a professional kitchen and enjoy it; It takes an edge quickly and holds it for weeks if you keep it sharpened with a honer; the only thing I'd change is to add some texture to the grip; I've lost my grip once or twice due to the round, smooth handle, but a little duct tape fixed that
5/5

br>br>Edit: after a year of use, I returned to give a more thorough review; I'm saving up to buy another set for my house because it's still by far the sharpest knife in my roll with the least amount of attention!.

Alright
3/5

This knife performed admirably for a period of two months in a commercial kitchen, where it was used five days per week for heavy prep work. For our winter vegetables, I needed something big. It eventually became dull, and even after sharpening, it appeared to lose its edge after a few hours. br>It would be better if the handle was thicker.

This is an excellent knife; it is light, sharp, nimble, and well-handled
5/5

The small handle is ideal, and the blade shape is fantastic. It's great for anything with a crust or peel, but it's not quite hefty enough for slicing tougher vegetables with precision. Cheeses go well with it as well. I wish I had bought this before getting my bread knife because I would not have bothered. Even with a crusty 10" loaf, I was able to cut perfect slices in two passes without leaving any crumbs, and it was incredibly simple. It's also a meat lover's dream come true - It worked perfectly for chopping up a crusty baked pork shoulder.

Champion Paring Knife: I saw this paring knife in someone else's kitchen and immediately knew I had to have it
5/5

I have quite a few paring knives, but this one is the best. I immediately put it to use. It's made of high carbon steel rather than stainless steel, which means it'll stay sharper for longer, but it'll rust more easily. As a result, the tradeoff is that you must clean and dry it right away, but that is already part of my kitchen routine because I like to keep my knives in good condition. Because of the ergonomic shape of the handle, it is very comfortable to hold. This is a fantastic knife.

Zum knives from Mercer Culinary are fantastic
4/5

After giving my 14-year-old son a Zum knife, I went out and bought a few more. My son received a Wusthof classic knife set of six pieces. I wasn't going to buy another pair of Wusthofs because I couldn't afford it. I purchased the Zum 5-pack. For a fraction of the price of Wusthof knives, you can get a 3-piece set as well as a few other Zum knives. Mercer Zum knives are made of the same high-quality steel that Wusthof knives are made of. The only difference is in the steel's polishing. I've noticed that most Mercer Zum knives have small scuff marks that can only be seen when holding the knife at an angle. As a result, there are four of them. instead of 5, give it a star rating. This in no way diminishes the Zum knives' ability to perform. Each knife is well-made and ergonomically sound, with excellent fit and finish on the POM handles. Every Zum knife is well-balanced, with razor-sharp blades. There isn't much to be dissatisfied with. Mercer Culinary is the place to go if you want high-quality knives without breaking the bank.

We've been using Mercer knives for over ten years and are extremely pleased with them
5/5

Great knives for a fraction of the price of more expensive brands, but don't be fooled by their lack of functionality or material quality. Hand washing and sharpening are the only things we do on a regular basis. We've gotten a lot of mileage out of these knives. I recently purchased a couple for my daughter, who has recently moved out of the house. She and her roommate are also big fans of these knives.

Fork is fantastic
5/5

It makes carving a lot easier. I had already purchased two other carving forks from Amazon at the time of this purchase. Despite being the priciest, it was the clear winner. It has a nice feel to it and is comfortable to use. The fork is sturdy and easy to insert. The others had quality issues; one had a splintering handle, and number two had metal forge issues and appeared to need polishing to smooth the snagged and rough edges.

Wonderful knife for the price; it keeps a sharp edge and I use it several times a day; I hone it once a day on a steel and it's as sharp as a razor
