The air leaked, so no air could be held in

No air was held in the bottle. We bought it for a party. We tried to fill it to use it, but it wouldn't hold air. The container is brand new just opened. Was too late to do anything about it for the party, and had to scramble for a different setup last minute. I am disappointed.
