The pros and cons of this are both present

Swimming in a pool does not affect it. It's good to set on a table, cover with ice, and then arrange trays of cold veggies and dips over it. During the melting process of the ice, water will rise into your food, so you should not eat it. A constant drain is necessary. This is not feasible.

It is made of very cheap plastic (which isn't my issue) and it is nearly impossible to blow up. For them to be inflated, you have to squeeze the stem, so do that. I wish you the best of luck! 3 of the four balloons were finally inflated after we spent about an hour working on them. I did not exaggerate when I said it took me five hours. In the fourth one, it appears that the stem has been sealed with plastic. It is very frustrating because the quality control is so weak. Does the positive feedback on the product make me wonder why people like it so much?.

Four hours was enough time for the sub sandwiches to stay cold. There is a hole in the bottom to let out the water when it begins to melt too much! The only downside is that lightweight containers tend to float.

My friends and I had an ice cream party and this was a perfect treat for them. You need two sets of hands to move the tray with ice to begin to empty it. The only knock-down from the tray is that the ice cream had to be put in and surrounded by ice. A very useful tool! I'll be using it.

This was a good tool for the intended use. The one which had an air leak was the only one that did not work. I only needed two, so it wasn't a big deal.

The food stayed cold for 8+ hours, I used a stainless steel bowl to put the salads in, then I filled the bowls with ice and everything stayed cold all day and night - every time - and the food stayed good and fresh. Enjoy the outdoors. When the bowls go in the coolers at 2 pm, they are still cold at 10 pm! Put up your tent under a shaded area. Having this item at a party is great!.
