Questions & Answers
I use a board that is 2" larger than the cake—8" cake = 10" board, 10" cake = 12" board. I recently made a 9" cake and used a 10" board; as a result, I had to use a smaller border on the bottom than usual, so I think I will use a 12" board in the future.
I use them to make pound cakes, and while there is occasionally a grease stain, it is coated and does not soak through. I use these for cakes that I give to friends and family all of the time. There will be no issues.
No, the 12" is required.
Yes, it is possible. Now that I've said that, I've reused them, but only when they're not soiled, such as when they're oily. Another way to reuse them is to wrap them in foil before putting the cake on top of them, or use parchment paper.

Here's a useful tidbit of information: An 8- An inch cake circle is not the same as an 8-inch cake circle. It's actually 8 inches in diameter, so it's a 6 inch cake circle. Because I only have 8-inch cake pans, I won't be able to write about how they work.
There is no foiled finish on these to hide the cardboard on the sides. They come in handy when I'm making fondant-covered cake tiers. On top of the board, I fill and cover my cake with buttercream, then cut the board to the rim of the cake and cover it in fondant, which I then glue to a more sturdy finished cake board.
This is fantastic! They're inexpensive, and I enjoy Wilton products. I'm not sure how grease proof it is because I've only used it for tarts so far and they don't make a huge mess. It's simple to move the tart around once it's in place (which some people may not like). br>Both a 9" and an 11" tart are shown, and I think they both look great! Will purchase again, primarily due to the excellent value.
For over 40 years, I've been using Wilton Cake Circles. Not only do I use them for cakes, but they can also hold a cut 12" hot pizza when covered in foil. They're the best "plate" for holding cupcakes, cookies, and other sweets at parties and bake sales when they're covered in other decorative colored foils. These circles are extremely durable, so the price/quality ratio is fantastic!.
I frequently make cakes for friends and didn't want to ask for my cake stands back, so I needed something disposable. These are ideal for a two-layer cake and saved me a lot of time running back and forth between neighbors. I like that they're white colored cardboard; I previously purchased some brown cake circles that didn't look as nice; with these, if you make cakes and give them to people, they'll think they came straight from a bakery.
To be honest, I believe they should be less expensive for what they are. However, they are very nice, but they are just cardboard; these are sturdy cardboard (even difficult to cut with good scissors), but they are still just cardboard; they have a nice look to them, and the tops were very nice looking, and without flaws, so I can't complain. I stacked a 5-inch cake on top of it and it held up well. While transporting it, I never had to worry about it flexing. I also appreciated how well they were packaged, letting me know that they were brand new and clean, and ready to use. I'll keep using them in the future. Wilton has come up with yet another outstanding product.
I like these Cake Circles because the Cakes do not stain the surface of the White Corrugated Cardboard Circles because they are greaseproof, so they stay nice and clean, which is a much better alternative to the Plain White Cake Circles. "Wilton 12" is a phrase that can be used to describe a group of people Although cake circles are a very weak surface for holding cupcakes at rest, they do provide some comfort, as I said, you need to be placed under the square with your hands, otherwise it might bend and you will lose your cake. After placing my order, I discovered a place that sells 100, even 50, for a much lower price, and they are also greaseproof. The Cake Circles were delivered on time and in perfect condition. I'll use them all because they're quick and easy to use. Thank you very much, D.
I bought these for 6" cakes because I won't be stacking them and will be using them as a cake plate/base. It's great and it lasts a long time. Super cheap and perfect for my 3-year-old son's homemade toys. 6" cake layering.
