Questions & Answers

Is the dome a certain size?

WHAT IS THE SIZE OF THE DOME?

Without the dome, how tall does the cake plate stand?

1/2 inch tall FYI, I donated the cake stand to Goodwill because the cover is quite heavy, and if you're not careful when covering your cake/pastries, the plate can chip. One with a clear plastic cover caught my attention.

What is the material of the bowl? Is it plastic or glass?

It's made of glass and has a plastic lid. This bowl is one of my favorites and I use it frequently!

Please tell me how big this bwl is. ?

This is a 3-minute video. It's a good size, but not excessively so, at 4 quarts. It has been used for four and six people. Dessert is never in short supply.

Tupperware Lid on a Great Trifle Dish I bought this on the spur of the moment for a party, and it arrived in perfect condition in two days thanks to Prime! This trifle bowl is a good size, and the Tupperware lid comes in handy for storing the leftover dessert in the refrigerator after the party is over
5/5

I was a little nervous about ordering a glass item online, but it arrived in perfect condition and was perfect for bringing dessert to the event.

My fantasies of being a housewife in the 1950s are becoming a reality
5/5

This is fantastic! Because it's made of glass, I can't believe how good of a deal this is! I made my first bundt cake and brought it to a party in this, and I thought it looked nice and fancy in comparison to the other desserts that were brought in plastic containers. Or, even worse, desserts from a store. I really like how this can also be used as a punch bowl. It has a vintage vibe to it and is extremely cool. This is something I strongly suggest you do.

This glass cake stand comes highly recommended from me
5/5

This glass cake stand comes highly recommended from me. It's an excellent present for pastry connoisseurs. It's of such high quality, and it also works well for donuts to keep them fresh for a long time. To protect the glass and make cleaning easier, I used parchment paper. I have this in my kitchen and think it would make a great wedding gift, chef ideals, or basic kitchen decor.

The glassware from Anchor Hocking is extremely well made and well worth the money I paid for it
5/5

I always look for an Anchor Hocking product when I need glass "anything" for my kitchen, and I've been using them for 44 years! This substantial Cake Set is exactly what I expected. Almost every other cake set I've seen has thicker glass than this one. It is not easily chipped or broken. It has a design that is woven into the fabric of its overall structure. It is easily capable of protecting a single, double, or taller cake. It's not for the faint of heart to attempt the cake dome. It's a little heavier than most, about the same weight as my cut crystal cake set from Ireland, which I like and think adds to the overall appeal of the product. It looks great on my kitchen counter, and I only had to replace my other cake set because my husband accidentally broke it. I'm overjoyed that I was able to purchase this lovely replacement on Amazon. Anchor Hocking is a great brand to look for if you want durable glassware. I have a pair of glasses in my closet that are more than 30 years old but still look brand new! For the money, this is good stuff!.

Cracked/Scratched/Damaged Even the substitute
3/5

I requested a replacement and they are processing it, so it appears that the company is forgiving. I'll update this once I get the replacement, but it's a very heavy-duty machine. It appears to be of high quality. I'm not sure what happened to mine, but it's damaged in four places and, to be honest, it's a cheap top that isn't very durable. The glass, however, appears to be of good quality if it weren't damaged. However, mine had chips all over the glass, but considering everyone else's experience, I'm hoping it was just an oddball bad item. EDIT: br>br> The return can be seen in the last three images. The bowl is literally split in half. It is completely unusable due to scratch marks all over it. I'm only going to post a few pictures, but it's all over the place. It arrived double wrapped, so whatever is going on will be discovered before it is shipped. br>br>I'm kind of disappointed I went with it because I trusted the positive reviews. I'm returning it and going to look for one in a store.

It was attempted to be taken from me by a friend
5/5

This is fantastic. I used it to make a trifle for a BBQ dinner with friends. br>The trifle was the full size of the bowl, and the five of us (who ate a lot) only finished about half of it. br>As soon as the leftovers were gone and I was back at my friend's house, I inquired about my bowl. My friend said she liked it and wished I hadn't asked so she could keep it. I told her to go to Amazon and look for it herself! br>I like the lid; it has a good seal, but I wouldn't store it that way or turn it upside down; it's enough to transport it comfortably without spilling. It's not a particularly heavy bowl.

For your dessert needs, this is a must-have
5/5

For the longest time, I put off buying a trifle bowl. Bad decision: A regular bowl of trifles was always overflowing with my trifles. Anything with slanted sides isn't going to layer well. Berries made a desperate attempt to flee the scene. There are no lids that fit perfectly on those bowls, and saran wrap isn't strong enough. This Independence Day, I wasn't going to have to deal with another near-disaster. Yes, more decorative trifle dishes are available, but they can be difficult to clean and maintain. This one is excellent at its job. Fill it with a full angelfood cake, an overabundance of berries, and as much Cool Whip or pudding as your guests can handle. It holds three quarts with enough room for the resealable lid to get a good, tight grip, ensuring that no stray fruit escapes or overflow stains something. The lid also works well for storing food in the fridge, keeping it fresh. The flat base provides stability, allowing your dish to be taken to a picnic and comfortably sat on the ground, or stacked in a cooler or fridge with other bowls. br>br>The glass is thick enough to be durable, but not so heavy that no one wants to be the one to carry a loaded trifle bowl. This is far from flimsy, which I prefer in my dishware. It can be put in the dishwasher or washed by hand, but I prefer handwashing because of my previous experience with glass.

The plastic lid in particular appeals to me
5/5

Arrived on time and was exactly what I was looking for. The plastic lid in particular appeals to me. With a lid on it, I'll be able to bring something beautiful to one of our potluck dinners. I didn't want one on top of the other - It's impossible to keep them in the fridge. br>br>Arrived on time and was exactly what I was looking for. The plastic snap-on lid is particularly appealing to me. I'm sure I'll be able to bring something stunningly lovely to one of our potlucks. with a nice cover on it, good fortune dinners I didn't want one that stood on a pedestal. I can't keep them in my fridge because they're too big. In my party bowl, I like to make fancy Jello layered items, and they usually take two or three days in the refrigerator to gel in layers.
