They're most likely insufficient in size. The tongs' open end would most likely be sufficient, but as you move away from the open end, the tongs quickly converge. It would be as if you were holding the cookie's EDGE between the TIPS of your fingers and thumb. So there you have it: the cookie crumbles. Sugar cubes are a breeze to work with.

The gold sugar tongs are a great match for my gold cutlery set and gold-plated serving pieces. Dinner plates that have a rim around the edge. On Christmas Day, when I have guests over for dinner, I like to dress up my dining table. When we have coffee and tea this year, they will be overjoyed to see the new tongs.

I didn't double-check the sizes before buying them, but they were a little smaller than I had anticipated. They're so cute! I needed it for olives, capers, and self-serve garnishes, so it worked perfectly. They're a little tight and not as flexible as I had hoped, but they're still a great product that did the job.

GREAT FOR BUFFETT STYLE ENTERTAINMENT. Before we even put them to use, a couple of them developed color issues. They are, however, still one of my favorites. Great price, and I couldn't find them in any of the stores I visited.

This is a very small item. Your index finger's length, for example. I bought it to go with my charcuterie board because it allows for more precise selection. It'll be fascinating to see how they clean up.
