The price is way too high. Make a financial saving.
I, like others, ordered this in anticipation of giving it to my mother as a gift for a tea party she is hosting for the ladies at our church. I'm so dissatisfied that they don't have elegant decorative ends! They are NOT SUGAR CUBE TONGS, but they are small tongs. I had to rush order from another site and ship a different pair of shoes. They also come with no way of returning them, and the shipping cost was equal to the item's price! A complete rip-off!.
These are exactly what I was looking for in sugar tongs. However, the tongs' shell head and embossed handle look nice on the website but are so poorly pressed into the metal in person that I'm thinking about returning them. Crate and Barrel also had $2 shell sugar tongs. 95, as opposed to $7 in this city. It is not recommended to use these tongs.
Granddaughter had a lot of fun with them and her new tea set.
It's possible that it's a bargain find from the dollar store.
These tongs were purchased for my young daughter to help her with her fine motor skills (ala Montessori). I was looking forward to seeing the small shell shape as a nice accent, but they were squashed flat and bent out of shape when they arrived. They're flimsy, so they're easy to put back in place (sort of), but they're clearly mass-produced. They are mass-produced with little concern for quality. I agree with the previous reviewer that Crate and Barrel makes a better product. br>br>It may sound picky, but these are sugar tongs, and people who buy them have a keen eye for detail. Who would buy them if they weren't affordable?.
This was a small gift, but it made my sister very happy. I'm going to place another order right now. Sugar cubes, olives, and other small items fit perfectly in it.
It's small, perfect for picking up sugar cubes, and it's fashionable with the shell design grips. It's also well-made, with a single stainless steel piece.
