This item has made me very happy. The silicone and stainless steel are dishwasher and boiling water resistant. The item is strong enough to withstand the weight of the pasta without bending. I've had similar issues with plastic pasta servers in the past. I've only used it once since receiving it, but it appears to be sturdy and long-lasting.

This is low-cost garbage. We hardly ever used it after the metal split all the way down after about a month. The next time I buy something, I'm going to get something of higher quality.

I'll say this about it: it has a good, solid handle. However, the pasta-grabbing fingers are made of floppy silicone that bend over when scooping the noodles. On Amazon, I must've looked at at least 20 different noodle scoopers. I didn't think it would be that difficult to create a sturdy tool for scooping pasta from a pot. This one gets the job done, but it isn't flawless.

Because I was able to use this product, I was ecstatic. For the first time in my life, my pasta did not stick together when I stirred it every minute. It made my day because I usually get clumps of pasta when I use this pasta spoon, but not this time. It was expertly crafted.

I would never have bought it if it had been advertised as a plastic handle with a removable head where sauce could get stuck inside.
