NO MATTER WHAT DETAILS YOU SEE. This is not something you should buy. In contrast to the picture, they look nothing like that! I really dislike the look! READY TO RETURN!.
When I opened the box to find the salad servers, I was shocked to see how large they were. I had used a set of basic "wooden spoon" salad servers for a number of years, measuring just over 5 inches long by about one inch wide. The size of the rings is roughly equivalent to that of my hands, and they are much wider, so I had to get used to their size. When I first utilized them, they were a little awkward in my hands compared to my flimsy, light pair that I had replaced, but now I love My wooden salad bowl would be a nightmare without these "hands," which reach down to the bottom and will make tossing the salad a cinch! A small peg is attached to the back, so they can easily be stored on the edge of the bowl. In addition, since they are not dishwasher safe, the pegs on them make it easy to air dry them as I place them inside my salad bowl after they are washed. I love them, even if they are a little challenging to use at first!.
It's exactly what it says it is. The salad bowls are of good quality, sturdy and attractive. We use them every day for serving and tossing salad. Salad tongs that are better than traditional ones!.
A friend gave me these salad servers after I used them at his home. I now own two sets. My favorite features are its ease of use, ease of care, and comfort They had a look of dignity about.
The picture looks darker in color than I expected, but I thought they would look nicer in color. I'm not sure if I want to keep them or if I think I can stain them.
These are great, in my opinion. The tiny knob on the back allows the serving bowl to "hang" on the handles when it is not full, so it will not fall into the middle when empty. As shown in the photo, they appear a bit different with more defined edges (not roundish as in the picture).
Unfortunately, the actual color is a lot lighter than the picture. I am satisfied with how in working they are. There is nothing wrong with the quality.
