Questions & Answers
They have a SLIGHTLY curved shape, similar to a scoop. If you look up "bamboo salad hands" on Google Images, you'll find some better photos than the seller's on Amazon, as well as the curve.
Yes, there are two of them.
No Diane. To use both of them, you must use both of your hands. If you had to hold the plate, you could theoretically use one hand to scoop up some salad like a big spoon, but for the best results, you'd need one in each hand and scoop the salad onto a stationary plate.

I already had a plastic scissor-style salad fork, so I didn't need salad hands. After that, a friend asked me to toss and serve a salad with her set, which I happily did. OMG. I'm a woman who values quality over quantity in her relationships. The bamboo salad hands are one of those well-designed tools that do their job perfectly and without fuss; they're a joy to use. The salad tosses well and is served without spilling any bits. The small pegs keep the hands neatly positioned at the top of the salad bowl until more salad is needed. A minor letdown: br>br> The wood is unfinished and comes in its natural state. To achieve the mellow brown shown in the photo, I used butcher block oil. Although oiling isn't required, it does give them a more expensive and professional appearance.
It came in a set of two, which means there were two hands, not just one, as many people before me claimed. I was worried that it would only come with one hand, but it actually came with both. br>Excellent item.
My cellie, on the other hand, would be irritated. My salad tossing has become an art form with these, more akin to finger paint art than fine art, and my cellie is so impressed with my personal salad tossing that he now asks me to toss his salad every night! As the gentleman and artist that I am, I gladly comply with his request. Purchase these to take your salad tossing to the next level.
I bought this set for my mother. She said she liked mine so much that I bought her a set for her Christmas stocking this year. She is ecstatic! This pair has a little peg on one side to hang over the side of your salad bowl, which is a nice bonus when compared to others. Terrific! They come highly recommended from us.
They're constantly a topic of discussion! It never fails that someone will make a witty remark about them. Apart from that, they're extremely effective and simple to use! They keep hold of what they've grabbed instead of letting it all fall to the ground. I also like how they are hanging over the bowl, ready to be used. Overall, this is a fantastic product that would make an excellent gift. br>Please let me know if my review was helpful in any way by clicking the "helpful" button below. These are extremely useful for both tossing and serving salads. They were a hit with my dinner guests, and they're more practical than tongs. There are almost no lettuce leaves or salad fixings that are dropped or forgotten. They're smooth to the touch and feel good in the hands. They're also small enough to fit into my utensil drawer.
These salad forks are fantastic. Beautifully combines salad and dressing! I always have a hard time tossing a salad because it's a jumble and the dressing doesn't properly coat the vegetables, but these prongs are perfect! They're fantastic, and I'd recommend them to anyone. To avoid discoloration, simply rinse them after each use. They don't go in the dishwasher with the rest of my dishes. They were once left in the sink with some water and showed no signs of mold or color change. I also like how the back of the bowl has little dowels that rest nicely on the side of the bowl when serving. This is a must have!.
This set appeals to me. I used butcher block oil on it, as I do with all of my kitchen wood utensils. My bamboo salad bowl looked fantastic with it. It also sits on the bowel's side, which I find appealing. It's gotten a lot of positive feedback.
