This device does not have feet to assist it in lifting itself. In order to place the cheese board on the table, it lies flat on the wood. I think you've made a great point though. My mind has changed! I think the design feature would serve him better now.

I liked the idea of the serving dishes with the cheese board. In this case, however, the staining had not been done It was agreed to send me a replacement for left over material, but I have not received it, nor am I receiving responses to my inquiries. My impression was that they had good intentions, and I am not sure if they had any manufacturing difficulties. It would have been nice to have received a response from you.
