Longer than necessary – Pith/Membrane is dug up

My old grapefruit spoon is still with me: It has a teaspoon-like shape with a proper arch in the 'handle' for scooping out the grapefruit section. It's possible that the spoon is 1/4-inch thick. Handle is 3/8" shorter and has an arch.

They're fantastic, so buy them! These spoons are great for eating grapefruit as well as passion fruit! Simply remove the top of the passion fruit and use this spoon to loosen the pulp

These are my favorite things. Grapefruit is delicious in this way. I strongly advise you to do so. The meat is extracted but the bitter pith is left behind.
