According to the description, this product is as described. To mix the dressing in with my salads, all I wanted was just a medium bowl with a cover so that I could build my salads in it, close the cover carefully, and shake it up. Here is the bowl I'm going to eat directly out of. Additionally, I have used the to make a bean salad with beans and vegetables and a mixture of olive oil and vinegar, and the sealed cover helps the flavor to maintain its intensity. Also, I see the cover as very safe the way it locks in, so I do not have to worry about spills. It works great for me on both of them. I recommend it highly.
These were perfect for traveling and party food. A lot can be held in them. Salads, pasta, meatballs, and fruit are what to think of. There is no need to worry about the lock.
