There aren't any dents or punctures that might affect the seal of the double wall. I have not tested how well it keeps the contents hot or cold, but it doesn't have enough space to hold a 4 or 6 pack of soda or beer. Several of the reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 are due to Is a song. Sometimes multiple times a day, I kept hearing a loud TWANG sound as if the pot had fallen in my kitchen, and when I finally realized that the sound came from this bowl, it took me a very long time to figure it out. As far as I know, this is because the bowl deforms a bit with changes in air pressure, but I have not tried to prove it with science. As for the TWANG, it is kind of entertaining, but the first time I experienced it was while watching a scary movie. This bowl is sure to surprise you.
In my opinion, the holder makes no sense as a beverage holder, especially when entertaining, but as for serving, it's a perfect choice. A refrigerator or cooler would be more suitable as a beverage holder for a lager party setting. These two boxed bottles were in perfect condition when they arrived and I chose them because of their double wall insulation which I thought would be better for foods in need of cooling. A plastic serving bowl was also an option that I considered. It could work for something like chips, but would be a perfect size for salads (such as potato, macaroni, lettuce, etc. ). The trays look perfect for a party of 6 - I haven't used them yet but I will for sure in the future. There are 8 of them and they look fine. Upon making a purchase, I'll use plastic or wood utensils so they won't scratch and I'll be able to use them for the rest of my life or until I'm no longer of the things I love about this cup is that it's double walled, and I don't see any seams, which is great since I plan to wash it by hand and not put it As there is a tiny dent at the top of one of them, if you are a perfectionist you might give it a 4 star rating but if that is your concern, you might want to check out a specialty kitchen store. I think they'll work well for the price they're asking and for what I plan on using them for.
The bowl is lovely! The only time I've used it without an ice bath was with a soak in a tub of cold water. However, I have used it twice in the last month in 80 degree weather for outdoor events. In three sandwich sized ziplock bags, place about 2 inches of ice, remove the air and seal the bags. Finally, roll up the bags as tightly as you can. Then, surround the bottom of the bowl with them. I then placed a stainless steel bowl with my salad (I made a pasta/vegetable salad and a fruit salad) on top of the ice and covered it On top of the plastic wrapped salad, I place a larger zip lock bag filled with ice, sealed, and topped with another zip lock bag filled with ice. In the low 80's, I left this salad outside for three hours at a lunch last week, and it was cold by the time I got.
The weather in Hawaii is hot and humid all the time, so everything gets sweaty or warm quick. A considerable amount of space will be included in the pool, so potato salads, plain salads, or anything else that could be kept warm or cold will be perfect. My plan is to use them for outdoor dinners with one of those bug screens over top.
My goal was to find a bowl that would be easy to use for everyday use, but would also have a finish I could use for special Additionally, I had to make sure it was large, not aluminum, and not more than Bowls like this one are perfect for any occasion. It was wonderful to eat a simple salad for dinner. I found that even more valuable since it added even more value already present.
