I'm blown away. First and foremost, the packaging is fantastic - They'd probably survive a fall from the Empire State Building because they're nested in tough, custom-fit plastic foam. The bowls are substantial, heavy, and imposing. I purchased four large pasta bowls in a set of four. Speckled with Rims - 30oz - White Vanilla with a hint of vanilla Despite the fact that it appears blue/gray in one of my photos, the rim is brown. My camera's cooling filter was to blame for this. These bowls are eye-catching, and the design possibilities are limitless. The heavy sturdiness is ideal for a hearty dish, and they are undeniably mora-centric. The plates and cereal bowls are the next items on my shopping list!.
It's an understatement to say that I'm obsessed with her. These are stunning bowls. Mora's work is stunning in every way. The pasta bowls, cereal bowls, dinner plates, and salad plates were among the items I requested. Now I want to order even more so I have a supply for when I finally drop one because they're so well made and exactly what I needed. The vibrant colors add a nice touch to mealtime; thank you, Mora, and keep up the good work! You've got a lifelong customer, and I'm sure I'll be adding more of these plates to my wedding registry.
Once in a while, a seller and their product go above and beyond. One of those occasions has arrived. I can't say enough good things about Mora Ceramics and the many items I've purchased from them, as well as the way they conduct business. br>First and foremost, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read this article I'm clumsy, and I've got nerve damage in my hands that's only getting worse as I get older. I have two nice porcelain dinnerware sets that, due to wear and tear and my own clumsiness, are slowly but steadily deteriorating. However, I am no longer willing to pay the exorbitant prices being demanded for a new, good-condition car. I like some of the Melamine sets I've come across, but they're also way overpriced - Especially with the restrictions of no microwave and 'top rack only' dishwasher rules. As a result, I made the decision to return to stoneware. br>I came across a lovely Stoneware set with a pattern that I adore and am completely obsessed with - combs made of honey Bees are one of my favorite things in the world. Ivory Elama Geometric Embossed Stoneware Honeycomb Pattern Tableware Set I'm happy to report that I got two sets for eight settings, and I just noticed that they're sold out, so yay for timing! )br>This dinnerware set comes with a standard-size bowl and a smaller salad plate. So I was looking for serving dishes to go with the new set, as well as a set of those cool, low-maintenance dishes. pasta dishes with a rim, too. I wanted something that would stand out in terms of color. With the new set, you should be wise - I'm a fine artist who gets irritated when colors don't match - But it also needs to be durable and simple in design so that it doesn't detract from the dinnerware, because serving dishes, in my opinion, should support rather than show off the dinnerware. br>This is how I set up my table. The color scheme of the accessories is incorrect. White, tan, beige, and a bright Aqua accent, all on a maple-colored background. Amish wood table with a variety of colors The Vanilla color combined with the warm brown bare clay areas in the Mora dishes made for an excellent color match. (I'll post photos as soon as I have them. ) It's just different enough to pique interest, but not so different that it clashes with the set. br>As for the quality, it's outstanding! omg WOW. br>One of the fine art disciplines that I have tried in my now-retired life is sculpting. Ceramics is something that I'm not very good at. Not my strongest suit, but I enjoyed it and know enough about it to appreciate how difficult it is to make things appear simple. clean. Here's what I'm going to say - That is a difficult task. These are absolutely stunning and extremely well-made pieces. I really like the bare clay areas and the subtle speckling in the glaze. These are perfect for me because I am a "form follows function" artist. Those exposed clay areas allow for much safer handling - With my shaky hand strength, which brings me back to the original reason for updating my dinnerware, this is especially important. It's just icing on the cake that they're also so beautiful. br>The company itself sent me emails asking how I was doing, which was fantastic. On Amazon, there aren't many of them who still do this. br>The packaging is OUTSTANDING. It's very safe, and it's clear Mora put some effort into it, which is greatly appreciated. I intend to keep the majority of the pieces I purchased from them in their original packaging because I will most likely be using most of these dishes for larger formal dinners. It's that good! And, because it's Stoneware, I don't have to worry about only using one or two pieces at a time and storing the rest; there will be some 'wear and tear' differences, but not to the extent that the fragile patterns on porcelain sets wear away. br>I bought two of these to go with my eight-year-old son. 2 sets of "Large Serving Bowls Set of 2 Oval Platters in XL" place settings, plus 2 sets of "Large Serving Bowls Set of 2 Oval Platters in XL" L" to serve as a serving dish I'm going to go out and get the pie pan as soon as possible. This Thanksgiving, I'm all set to create a stunning tablescape - Except for the gravy boat, that is. Oh, I bought one just in case, because, well, you know, you have to. br>However, one that goes with the Mora dishes would be preferable! I've asked them for it in writing, LOL. So, Pretty Kind of You? A gravy boat with a lid, a butter dish, and a sugar bowl are all possibilities. Creamer. Oh man. I'd be in absolute ecstasy if I could: )br>As an aside. NO, I didn't get anything for free from them. This is something I've decided to write for myself. If you're on the fence about buying it, go ahead and do it. You will not be sorry.
To go with my set, I needed a larger pasta bowl made of cream ceramic with speckled detail. These Mora bowls arrived quickly and were well-packaged in the box with foam (ensuring that they didn't arrive shattered). It has a lovely design that almost matches my set. The terra-cotta army The cotta detail at the bottom is a nice shade of orange. To be honest, they appear to have been made in Portugal rather than China! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price, and they cleaned up beautifully in the dishwasher. My only minor quibble is that the bowl's sides could be a little higher and the bowl a little deeper, but this is a minor quibble.
These are the ideal dishes for a special occasion. They're not only lovely and well-made, but they're also ideal for any occasion. They can serve as a bowl for chili and a plate for chicken/steak and vegetables. In addition, it's ideal for salads. br>Aside from cereal, which I don't eat very often, I can't think of many occasions when I'd require a different dish. While I use these on a daily basis, the regular plates and bowls will collect dust.
Bowls are an underappreciated dishware item in my opinion, and I've grown to appreciate these large flat pasta "bowls" for almost everything. They're great for noodle dishes, steak and vegetables, salads, and so on. My only complaint is that I wish they came in a larger diameter version with a higher lip. These are almost too small for my big appetite! br>br>The quality and finish appear to be excellent. They do have some scratches from the use of my forks.
I came across Mora while looking for another well-known but pricey pottery brand. I did my research and found that Mora was not only comparable to this brand, but it was also half the price, so I ordered two sets of four large 30 oz pasta bowls. br>br>When the bowls arrived, I was concerned that they would be damaged because the manufacturer packed boxes of four were sent by Amazon with very little packing in the outer box. However, I didn't have to be concerned because the manufacturer used thick foam packing inside each box of four bowls, and they arrived in perfect condition. I also received an email from the manufacturer, inquiring about their condition. It is clear that this business is concerned. br>br>These bowls are fantastic. They look lovely as part of a tablescape, and they make whatever food I'm serving look delicious. I have a neurological condition that makes fine motor movements difficult for me, and the bowls have held up well when I accidentally "clink" them together or set them down too hard; I use them several times a day and they have held up well to heavy use. This is without a doubt one of my favorite purchases of the year.
